The stadium was filled with cheers as all eyes were focused on the huge swimming pool in the center. A deafening scream came from behind her as two of the swimmers reached their last lap.

Hands fisting on her lap, she nibbled on her bottom lip in anticipation. Her gaze followed the swimmer in the second lane, watching as his form moved swiftly through the water, rivaling his opponent in the adjacent lane.

A thunderous applause broke out when the swimmers in the lead reached the end of the pool. Immediately, she turned to look at the large scoreboard, watching as all the timing and placements appear in red.

Nanase Haruka – 1st Place

[Name] watched the raven-haired swimmer get out of the pool, removing his swimming cap and goggles as he scanned the crowd. She knew he wouldn't be able to see or hear her in the huge mass of spectators in the stands, but she nevertheless cheered on for him till her throat felt parched from all the screaming.

Pride swelled within her as she watched him step up onto podium, a huge smile on her face as he bent his head as a golden medal was placed over his neck.

He had come such a long way. From the guy who only cared about swimming freely in high school, to the national swimmer he currently was; and with every step of the way, she had been there with him, supporting him throughout the vigorous trainings.

When the competition came to an end, [Name] followed the crowd out of the spectators' stand; sneaking to the rest area for the competitors, and she suddenly felt a little taken aback from all the towering athletes staring at her.

"[Name]?"

She spun around at the familiar voice, smiling brightly as the sight of her boyfriend. "Haru!"

Noticing the other swimmers watching their exchange, he took her hand and began moving to the double doors. "Come on, let's go outside instead."

Weaving their way through the throng of people still exiting the stadium, they kept walking until the crowd started thinning, and they found themselves in a small garden beside the stadium. Haru finally slowed to a stop, turning around to face her.

"I'm so happy for you, Haru," she beamed, looking into his cerulean blue eyes. "I just knew you would win."

His lips curved upwards, gaze lowering to their interlaced hands. "You helped me a lot along the way."

"So, are you happy?"

"Yeah, I guess..."

At the sight of a pinkish hue tainting his cheeks, [Name] couldn't help but hug him. She took a deep breath the chlorine scent that clung to his skin, mumbling quietly against his chest, "Congratulations, Haru. You were really amazing out there."

The raven-haired boy returned her embrace, a calm sense washing over him like water at the feeling of having her in his arms. A couple of seconds passed before he gently pulled away from her.

"I want to give you something."

Taking a small step back, she watched as he unzipped his jacket slightly, showing a little of his bare skin beneath the team jacket. Haru silently took off the medal around his neck and placed it over her head.

"Haru... what are you doing?" Feeling the weight of the gold award hanging on her neck, she took it in her fingers and examined it closely.

His answer came quietly in his mellow voice, "You've stayed with me ever since high school, and you're always encouraging me."

A warm feeling growing in her chest, she snapped her gaze up to meet his.

"I want to share all my victories with you, [Name]."
