Sacrifices

Everything was black. All I can remember is someone saving me. My body won't move. There's something tight around me. People are around me. That sweet vanilla aroma would be really comforting right now. I couldn't even see. The memorable footsteps of a titan could be heard in the distance. But something was off, it was faster. Maybe a titan on four legs? My body was lifted up and into something slimy.

Back to the current time

Reiner was just in the right spot. In the middle of buildings. Buildings and houses everywhere. I launched forward, swinging around behind the armored titan. Hanji and Mikasa were a bit ahead of me already. I wasn't going to let them get the first blow. Loui and Ruby, who had met up with us, had gone to look for Annie.

To get around both of the girls I had to take a short detour. The attack had to be timed or else the spear would hit something or someone else, and Reiner would know what they'd do. If he knew that, the titan would be wary and be able to maybe somehow block the next attacks. As soon as Hanji saw me, she moved downward and landed. My aim was total shit, still, the thunder spear pierced the titan's eye.

My spear blew up Reiner's left eye first, Mikasa's blowing the right. The titan was right out in the open just asking to be hit. Two volleys of the spear flew into the nape of the titan. One more just managed to squeeze in.

They all blew up the nape. Bits of armor flew in my face. The rough sleeve of my jacket wiped it off. I turned around, seeing Loui.

" How do you feel about it? Having to attack a former comrade, maybe even kill him? "

Loui stared at me. I shook my head,

" I didn't really ever think of Reiner as anything good. On the first day of 104th and since then... "

My head snapped back around. All I could focus on was Reiner. His body was exposed from his nape. The titan shifter's head was taken off,

" That man was suspicious. But, I can't help but feel bad for him. Even though those two betrayed everyone, I have some respect for him. "

The titan's jaws opened. A thundering roar was the only thing able to escape its chops.

My whole body swung around to the others around me,

" You guys. Get far away from Reiner. "

They all nodded and stumbled onto Eren's titan. Sure enough, there flew a huge barrel. It pushed itself over the wall and glided through the sky. Someone clutched my arm.

I raised my arm to agree. We both slid down the house's roof and onto the stone street. The barrel lid opened as I looked back at it again. Bertholdt could be seen. Had he caught sight of Reiner?

I said. Loui ran a bit faster. The boy turned around to a dark alley. He stopped in his tracks, making me bump into his back. Loui fell forwards. He let out a scream, scrambling to get up. My eyes shut.
