I don't own transformers, just my OC's.

I woke up on a hard surface. I tried stretching but my hands were cuffed. I scowled and got up the best I could. I sat on the cell bed and glared at the adjacent wall.
"I thought you were with the Autoscum." I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, well.....I guess not. They trust me as much as they trust you." Barricade snorted. "They have zero trust in me cause I am a Decepticon." I nodded. "Yeahup. They probably think I am as well." I started hacking again.
"What's wrong with you." I finished my hacking fit. "Ol' Staph Pneumonia." I grumbled, falling against the wall. "What the frag is that?" I sighed/chuckled.
"It's a type of sickness for humans. I got mine from a bacteria in the dust from Ft. Sill Oklahoma. Or from Quarters where the sick humans are. No one knows. But the bacteria I carried from Oklahoma was dormant until I got back home and the cold front hit me. Turned into a severe case of Staph Pneumonia. At first, we all thought I was just...sick. I thought so too." I positioned myself closer to the wall, next to his cell.
"I laid in bed for three and a half days. I couldn't breathe unless I was in a vertical position. I slept on the floor, leaning against a chair or the wall. I didn't eat or drink cause I purged it. On Tuesday night, I finally had a break. Cory brought me outside to see the stars that night. We sat outside for an hour just watching them glisten in the reflection of the sun. It was cold to me, but he said it was warm." I smiled at the memory.
"Turned out to be the calm before the storm. I woke up on Wednesday, my 104 fever was back. I was hacking worse than before. I couldn't talk verbally so I talked from a notepad. Every time I tried to say a word, I went into a coughing fit. Once I tried, took my 30 minutes to finish one sentence. 'Cade? Have you ever been shot or stabbed in the stomach?" I tilted my head towards the front. I got a grunt.
"That's what my abdomen felt like. Whenever I moved. Cory brought me into a clinic that afternoon. The doc told me to get x-rays. I walked over to the other building, nearly hunching over. Took the x-rays and walked all the way back. Cory begged to carry me. Me being the stubborn one, I touched it out like I always had." I played with my cuffs as I spoke. The others were probably listening in. I didn't care anymore.
"The doc put up the scans on the light thingy and he stared at it forked than a minute. He pulled Cory into the other room as I studied the x-rays. They were all black, from what I could tell. I knew something was wrong. When they came back into the room, the doc said I needed to go to the ER immediately. Cory rushed me there. The lady said I had to wait in line. Cory whispered something to her and she bumped me to first." I hacked and spit the gunk into the toilet.
"They gave me a 'fall precaution' tag bracelet with my info on the other. Birthdate and crap. They put me in a room and I sat there. They hooked me up to an Oxygen tank. You know what the worst part was?" He stayed silent, but shifted.
"Cory called my parents as soon as we went into the ER. They said that they weren't going to come unless I talked to them. I couldn't speak if I tried. My mom...er...aunt was an RN nurse. She should have known as soon as Cory gave her the details. But no...I wasn't that bad. Psst... 'She's fine.'" I mimicked her.
"Anyways, they made me change and brought me to the pediatrics ward. Put me on Hazard alert in case I was Contagious. I think I was like that for a couple days. Don't remember much. I remember all the blood they took for testing. They had to keep switching my IV's around cause my arms kept swelling." I shivered and rubbed my arms.
"My other aunt and uncle came to see me with Alex and Ariel. My little brother and sister. They laid next to me apparently. Can't see them anymore cause I'm stuck in this dimension." I growled and heeled the floor.
