Early the next morning, I eventually decided to return home.

On my way, I jumped at anything that moved; squirrels, birds, swaying trees, my own hair, and lots more. My mind whirred about what had happened to my beloved brother and what had happened the previous night.. The only thing that could possibly have created this mess must be an animal of some sort. But how? The window of Josh's bedroom faced the garden that I was in, and the front door was locked. How?

As I tripped and tumbled along the road towards my habitat, it hit me like a brick wall. My bedroom window had been wide open for anyone or anything to get in. My eyes widened at the thought.

A car horn sliced through my daze and brought me back to reality. I suddenly realised I was stood in the middle of the road, quivering in the early light. The car honked again before I sprinted into the Forrest neighbouring the road.
What was wrong with me? My hands grew clammy at my sides and apprehensively I was breathing faster and heavier.

That was before the spine-tingling scream split through the air.
