It was the midnight hour, Steven had long been out asleep while the gems took refuge in their own individual rooms inside of the temple. After a long day it was nice to come home and rest. Despite being energetic when it came to a new adventure, once Steven had took his shower and his head hit his pillow he was out like a light.
The temple was silent aside from the soft rustling of the waves. Breaking the silence Fiamma began to become restless in her sleep and ultimately woke up. After rubbing her eyes it took the girl a moment to become aware of her new surroundings. Noticing that she wasn't in her tube anymore she panicked and ended up falling into the floor trapped in the blanket.
Since Steven's bed was just a level above the living room he heard the loud thump and jolted awake. Thinking it was an intruder Steven hid under his covers before he silently crept towards the edge of his room to see who it may be. Steven was soon met with the sight of a ball blanket ball rolling around his living room, whoever inside of the blanket seemed to be struggling to get out. Seeing the sunset colored hair peak out from the blanket the boy was reassured that it was an intruder but Fiamma who had just woken up. 'Wait...' he let the revelation sink in. His pupils seemed to form that of stars and he hurried out of his blanket and down the stairs to greet his new soon to be friend.
Fiamma continued to struggle within the blanket until she felt a outside force helping her escape the cloth of death. Once she was free the girl moved her long bangs out of face, she was immediately faced with the sight of a unknown thing. That thing being Steven. With the blanket wrapped around her she jumped away from the boy and landed on one of the platforms, growling at Steven.
Steven was slightly startled from how quickly Fiamma got to one of the beams near the ceiling. But nevertheless he awed at her skill. "It's okay Fiamma! You're safe and you can come down! My name is Steven!" He said trying to coax the girl down. Seeing as that she wasn't going to come down anytime Steven assumed it was because she was stuck. Completely disregarding the fact that she had jumped several feet in the air with no problem, Steven grabbed a chair and proceeded to climb on it and try to get Fiamma down.
Getting a little bit too close for Fiamma's liking she pounced towards him preparing to bite. Before the Avalonian could bite, a large figure had stepped in and had took the bite instead. Teeth sticking into the woman's skin it took the girl a moment to realize that she had not attacked her target. Letting go Fiamma turned towards the new person who was had stopped her initial attack and was now holding her. Turning her head she came face-to-face with the expression belonging to the silent leader of the Crystal Gems, Garnet.
Garnet looked down at the Avalonian in her arms with a neutral expression. Meanwhile on the inside two gems awed at the confused but curious look she was receiving from Fiamma. "Don't bite." She told the girl in the arms.
