Please read: I made Emma, Don, Gilda, and Norman (kind of) bullies. I have nothing against any of their characters but it worked for the story.

A boy with black hair stared down at the ground as he walked quickly to his homeroom, trying to avoid the certain popular kids who loved to make fun of him.

The boy bumped into somebody, causing him to drop his books and trip. "Are you okay," a voice asked, leaning down to help the black haired boy.

"I'm fine," said boy grumbled, looking up to face the person he bumped into. He paled.

"Oh... it's you. It's Ray," Norman scoffed, glaring at said boy.

"Yes, that's me," Ray murmured quietly, grabbing his books and stuffing them in his backpack and trying to run off.

"Not so fast," an annoying voice called out, grabbing Ray's backpack. Ray turned around to face the whole popular gang: Emma, Norman, Don, and Gilda.

"Where have you been Ray? We haven't been able to hang lately," Emma asked, chuckling darkly.

Ray used to be in the 'popular' group until about a year ago, when the four dubbed him too nerdy to be friends with them. Since then, they have been bullying him nonstop.

"I've been here. It's not like you've been looking for me," Ray said softly, trying to walk away again only to have his backpacks yanked off his back. Ray spun around and tried to grab it.

Don and Gilda chuckle and start the throw the backpack to each other, throwing it just out of Ray's reach. Ray used to be one of the tallest out of the group, but Ray had stopped growing so he was now the shortest out of the group.

Emma joined into the taunting, intercepting the backpack and opening it. Ray gasped, trying to grab it but Emma smirked and continued to unzip the first zipper.

"Oh? What's this?" Emma asked in an innocent voice, bringing out a locked journal. She grabbed the key that was in a plastic baggy attached to the journal.

"Please don't!" Ray said louder than he usually speaks. Ray tried to grab it again, but Don grabbed him and put him in a headlock.

"Oh, now I have to see this if Ray doesn't want us to see," Gilda sneered, staring down at Ray. Norman just stared at Ray, whose face was bright red and he continued to struggle.

"Hm, first page," Emma said, unlocking the journal. She opened it and turned to the first page. " 'Monday, January 9. I miss my friends. We used to be so close. I've contemplating trying to ask them to be friends again but whenever I'm near them, they always bully and taunt me.' Oh my god Ray, this is so stupid."

Emma turned to continue reading but somebody grabbed it and slapped her hard in the face. "If it's so stupid, why don't you return it to him before you get yourself embarrassed," a certain white haired boy said.

"Norman?!" Gilda, Don, and Emma demanded, staring up at him. Norman grabbed Ray from Don's arm and ran down the hall with him.

"Are you okay Ray?" Norman asked once they had managed to get to an empty classroom.

"Why do you care? Why did you fight them? You hate me. You hate me, just like they do," Ray demanded, trying not to cry. Norman shook his head.

"Ray, I don't hate you. I've never hated you. Emma, Don, and Gilda found out about a certain crush of mine and the three of them were angry and threatened to hurt you if you weren't kicked out of our friend group," Norman growled. Ray stared up at Norman, very very confused.

"Why would they hurt me?" Ray asked. Norman paled for a quick second before he smiled and looked down at Ray.

"It's because my crush... is you Ray," Norman said with a helpless smile. Ray blushed, looking up at the taller Norman.

"R-really?" Ray stuttered.

"Really."

"I-You-Um... Norman... I have a crush too..." Ray said, refusing to meet Norman's eyes. Norman's heart fell and he went to turn away when he heard three words that could change a person's life.

"It's you, Norman."

Norman spun around, looking at Ray with wide eyes. He saw no trace of a lie in Ray's eyes and grinned.

Norman hugged Ray tightly, smiling like he just won a million bucks. Ray smiled too. Norman leaned in and captured Ray's lips in a gentle kiss. Ray blushed bright red but accepted the kiss.

"You two! You are disgusting," the boys heard when they broke away. There stood Emma, Don, and Gilda glaring at the two.

Norman rolled his eyes. "Leave us alone. Real friends would accept up. Not think we were disgusting," Norman growled, turning away and kissing Ray again, earning a gasp from the other four in the room. Norman released Ray for a second, standing in front of him.

"I don't care about you three. The only reason I became friends with you in the first place was to make Ray happy. I've never wanted to be your friend either," Norman said in a harsh voice.

Emma, Don, and Gilda (all now truly terrified of Norman) turned around and ran down the hall, leaving the lovers to themselves.

I actually really liked this. I might end up making an actual book out of this.
