Chapter 17 - Never Be The Same Again.

Stepping out of the shower, I hadn't been able to wipe this stupid goofy grin off my face. Baden was still fast asleep and I could have happily stayed in his arms all morning but my stomach had other ideas since I missed my dinner last night. Not that I'm complaining, I would gladly miss dinner every night to do that with him again.

I rolled my grey track pants up to my knees and pulled a black singlet on over top of my head, it was fairly warm outside already but I didn't want to wake Baden up by searching through my clothes for something else to wear.

Walking down the short hallway towards the kitchen, I noticed Amberly was up already, sitting on the lounge watching TV with the volume down low. Opening the fridge, I pulled out the pizza box and walked over to where she was, plopping down next to her and taking a slice out.

"Hungry are we?" she asked with a knowing smile.

Rolling my eyes I chose to ignore that oh so obvious question by taking a huge mouthful of food and turning to face the TV.

"You guys lasted quite a long time last night." she grinned, then laughed as I choked on my food.

"I'm trying to eat." I muttered as I grabbed her cup of coffee out of her hand and used it to wash down the small parts still stuck in my throat.

"Working out builds up the appetite." she mused.

Groaning, I turned to face her, "Spit it out already, just so I can finish eating without choking again."

Amberly smiled, "I don't have anything to say.............except, Baden, oh Baden........Leila, oh Leila!" she giggled, making real crappy imitations of us.

I felt myself go bright red, damn, she must have heard us but that still didn't stop the smile from forming on my lips, "Shut up." I muttered. Note to self - next time make sure she isn't home.

Amberly giggled, "You're so precious, blushing over a boy but, seriously sweetie, I'm so happy for you." and she hugged me tight, I gave her a quick hug back then pulled away.

"Can I finish eating now?" I asked as I pointed to the pizza on my lap, she nodded then faced the TV again and we fell into silence until she started up again, talking about random subjects, Caveman and work. She was thinking of quitting already. I smiled to myself, knowing she wouldn't have held out for long.

After awhile we heard someone coming down the hall, I turned to see Baden walk in wearing only a pair of boxers and his jeans, his muscles rippling through his body as he yawned and stretched before coming over to us. I blushed again and quickly turned to face the TV.

Amberly nudged me and I nudged her back, sending her a look that clearly said 'shut up', she laughed quietly as Baden came up behind me, wrapped his arms around my shoulders and kissed the side of head, "Morning." he smiled against my skin, making me blush again. Dammit! I hate blushing!

"Morning." I mumbled back, avoiding Amberly's eye stare as she grinned at me.

"So.....Baden, are you hungry too?" she eventually just had to ask before chucking to herself.

Picking up the empty pizza box I threw it at her Frisbee style, hitting her in the leg as she attempted to move away from me, "Lee-lee." she scolded, "It was just a simple question." she faked innocence.

I gave her a pointed look as Baden answered, "Yeah?" not understanding what Amberly was really on about.

She turned and grinned, "So did you kids have fun last night?" she asked not so subtly.
