Chapter 62

"Uh oh." Tsuki patted my shoulder, "Well I'll be heading out now..." she took a step towards the door.

"Hey! You can't just leave me here to deal with them!" I chased after her. 

"Fine! But first we need to explain to them what just happened."

"Okay," I said as we approached their door, "You sure we'll be okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, definitely." she didn't sound very confident. "But just to be safe you go first, got it?"

"Wait what-" she opened the door and shoved me in.

"Have fun!" she put up a peace sign and slammed the door. I could hear her starting to leave the house. Beside me there were footsteps, or I guess charging steps I looked up to see You open the door and leap outside.

"Oof-" I heard Tsuki groan, I looked outside to see You pinning her to the ground. 

"Sorry cousin, but you're not getting away that easily."

We were brought into the living room. The other eight joined us there. 

"We won't use violence." Dia calmed us down.

"Awww..." Mari complained, throwing a belt off to the side.

"We would just like an explanation." Riko added.

"And that's what you'll get." Tsuki said relaxed, "but first, who's the one that broke into the house?" 

Ruby raised her hand. "I was going to come over and give something..." 

Tsuki raised an eyebrow, "Dang, Ruby was gonna confess earlier than I thought." 

"W-w-what?" Ruby turned red I also turned a similar shade of the primary color.

The other girls smirked at that reaction, "Hey Ruby were you going to do something?"

"It doesn't matter now that they're going out." she shrugged her shoulders.

"Oh yeah speaking of which... we're not going out." Tsuki replied. "I'd never date this idiot, first of all it's been like three days since we've met, second he's literally a stupid little brother."

"Aren't I older than you-"

She put her hand up, "We were just practicing confessions and asking people to go out."

"Hey Tsuki I think you should stop-" I started.

"When he chooses one of you..."

All eyes were now on me, this was extremely awkward. Tsuki winked at me, "So you have something to say or are you still choosing?" 

"I- um..." I started to sweat, "Excuse me." I got up and walked outside, the fresh night breeze hit me as soon as I walked out the door.

I sighed, was I really a huge idiot? Why couldn't I choose already? Alright let's go through the list...

Ruby: She's cute and honestly needs more head pats. But after you get to know her a little bit, she's a determined girl who always is ready to take on another adventure, despite how shy she looks she speaks her mind when it comes to people she's friends with.

Hanamaru: Seems like the quiet type, she's respectful but once you start to get closer you see other things in her. She likes to tease people and often thinks of herself as someone not important, but she's really important to me.

Yoshiko: I have nothing to say other than she scares me. At least until I saw the softer side of her. She's really just a misunderstood girl, but she's also not afraid to show that to other people. Which is what I like about her, doesn't care what people think of her and is fine with taking thing's one step at a time.

Chika: Loves mikans a little too much. She may be as much as an idiot as I am, but at the same time she's always determined no matter what. She also goes with the flow, which almost got us killed but whatever...

You: She somehow always ends up getting chosen because of her freaking name. But other than that, she's pretty much a relaxed person always. Rarely getting angry, and if she does, it's to defend Chika-chan and the others. Yousoro!

Riko: She and I didn't see eye to eye at the beginning. I always thought she took the fun out of everything, but over time she showed me that if you do a good job thing's can be rewarding. And she was just always there for me to talk to.

Dia: How do I begin this one? Like Riko she never let us have any fun, but it became clear as day that she just wanted the best for all of us. Just like when we found out they were leaving. And she showed me to choose what was best for them which I did. Which I don't regret one bit.

Kanan: The chill third year seemed like a bit of a tsundere with Mari. I actually thought they were going out at the time, but we were able to talk a lot and honestly she was just the third year that could be both fun and serious when she needed to be.

Mari: That last thing about Kanan does not apply to Mari, her catchphrase is literally "It's joke!~" she's always looking to make people laugh and enjoy times. Which confuses me how she, Dia and Kanan became friends. But like they say opposites attract. And I've got to admit, we've probably spent the most time bonding by pulling off pranks.

This was definitely a hard choice, it also confuses me how they fell in love with me too. Well assuming all of them have... Based on what Tsuki has told me... I wonder what they're thinking of right now?

Tsuki's POV

Yikes, I didn't think he'd leave. True the pressure was on him at this moment, but at the same time, this was the perfect moment!

"Listen... I know you guys want him and don't want him to tell you." I started, they all nodded, "But if he does choose, are you guys prepared to respect his decision no matter what?"

They looked uneasily. "How can there not be any hard feelings?" Yoshiko stated.

"Look, there's gonna be feelings hurt no matter what, but that won't mean we won't heal." Chika also pointed out. The others also nodded at this.

"Then I guess I'll leave it up to you all. But are you prepared if he doesn't confess?" 

"What do you mean?"

"Well you guys say you don't want any feelings hurt, so the only way is for him to not confess right?"

"Yeah, but what if he does?"

Very good question... And I'll be honest it's the first one I didn't have an answer for.

"Then how about this?" they all looked expectantly and I started talking.

Was this the right way? Maybe not... But who knows...
