As we were walking out of the tar infested area, I tried to keep my gaze away from the two dead bodies. But much to my dismay, it didn't work and I looked at them causing a shiver to run down my spine.

"Come on, this way." Gale called out, resulting in everyone to start jogging.

I held in my groan and ran in front of Finnick and Peeta. Gale ran up to a building and broke the glass using his crossbow. We all walked in, walking up the stairs, ready for anything to come at us. When we got to the top, the room was pink, not a total surprise, with the Capitol seal on the tv in the middle of the room.

"Get these curtains closed." Jackson ordered.

I made my way over to Gale by the tv in the middle of the room. When we suddenly heard a car screech. I made my way over to a window and peeked through the curtains. When I saw the peacekeepers all out there, I froze, remembering all the things that happened in the Capitol that I wish to forget.

A gentle hand grabbed my elbow and pulled me away from the window and into their chest. I recognized their woodsy scent as Gale.

"Shh, it's okay." He whispered into my hair.

I nodded but jumped when I heard gun fire. He held onto me a little tighter in a comforting way.

"It's the Leegs." Finnick says.

I stepped back and looked out the window again, only to see the peacekeepers fire a missile to where we once were, and where the Leegs still are. The entire area fell apart, collapsing to the ground. I put a gloved hand over my mouth.

"Oh my god." I whispered quietly.

Gale pulled me back again, whispering reassuring words in my ear when the Capitol's anthem played from the tv. On the screen it said, "Mandatory Viewing. Attention all Panem residents." We all went and sat down. I sat against the wall next to a kneeling Gale. Then my blood boiled from seeing Caesar Flickerman.

"Good afternoon. I'm Caesar Flickerman. Here with our continuing coverage of the defense of The Capitol. Today, as our peacekeepers valiantly hold off the rebels, our story takes a surprising twist. Katniss Everdeen, our once favorite daughter, infiltrated the city with some of the Victors, whose names are too familiar." They showed footage of us. "Finnick Odair, Peeta Mellark, and Ceto Sommers. Hmm. Clearly, some alliances don't last forever." When he said that, footage of Peeta pushing Mitchell into the tar, then getting pushed back by me and getting grabbed my Finnick was shown.

"Take a look at what happened just a moment ago, when are peacekeepers corner Katniss Everdeen and her band of foolish rebels. Whatever arrogance brought this treacherous girl back to us, You are about to witness a great victory, not only for the Capitol, but for a Panem." Then they showed the building collapsing with the Leegs inside. "So there you have it. Katniss Everdeen, the Girl on Fire, A girl who inspired so much violence, seems to have met a violent end herself. Stay turned for more information. Caesar Flickerman. Thank you."

When the showing cut out, that's when Gale spoke up. "So now that we're dead, what are we gonna do?"

"I'm gonna go find that man and kill him slowly with my bare hands." I said with venom lacing each word.

They all ignored my comment except Gale. He gave me a look to which I just shrugged.

"Isn't it obvious?" Peeta spoke up. "The next move is to kill me."

"Peeta, no." I warned.

"I murdered one of our squad members. Katniss is right. I'm a mutt. And it's only a matter of time before I snap again. I'm not in control. I need a nightlock pill, so I can die when I need to."

"If it gets to that point, I'll kill you myself." Gale volunteered.

When he said that, I scoffed and stood up, walking to another area away from them. I leaned my head against the wall and pounded it with my hand, a sob escaping me.

"Ceto? Are you okay?" I heard his voice full of worry.

"Go away, Gale." I said through clenched teeth.

"No. Don't push me away. Alright?" He started walking towards me. "We are in this together. We are suffering the same thing, together." By now he was right in front of me.

"Why are you doing this." I whispered as I turned to look at him.

He smiled slightly, remembering the first time I said that. "Because I love you. And I didn't realize it until I went to 2. When I first saw you in the Capitol, I felt like I needed to be there for you. And that's what I'm doing."

Then he did the most unexpected thing. He cupped my cheeks in his large hands and closed the space between us, placing his soft chapped lips on mine. I froze, then slowly melted into the kiss. He pulled back, leaning his forehead on mine.

"Okay?"

"Okay." I nodded my head.
