Jay POV
Hails open up, I said , knocking on Hailey's apartment door. I'm coming, I'm coming. Hailey answered with. Hi Handsome! Hi Beautiful! So today was a hard case you ok? I asked Hailey while bending down giving her a kiss. Yeah, can't save them all. That's what erin used to say. I've been thinking about her nonstop lately because the anniversary of Nadia's death was coming up, and I know she still blames herself for it. It had gotten better once Yates was killed but after that she was never the same, and that was one of the reasons she left. We then sat on the couch, what movie are you thinking? I asked my girlfriend to put my arm around her. SHe then put her head in between my arms and we cuddled while scrolling through trying to pick a movie. We then decided on "John Tucker Must Die." You want a beer before we start? She asked. Yes Please. I replied back with a smile. Even though I couldn't get the fact that I missed erin out of my head. We haven't talked in almost 3 almost 4 years and I miss our friendship. We just clicked you know. She knew my next move before I even knew it. She was the best damn detective we had. Don't get me wrong hailey knows me pretty well, she's an amazing detective, and she's my girlfriend, but Erin and I we just clicked. Of course I would never tell hailey that. Hank doesn't even know about me and Hailey because he doesn't allow in house relationships even though he has me and erin a pass. Since Erin left, intelligence just wasn't the same, no one in our unit was the same. Apparently i have zoned out thinking about erin and hailey had noticed so next thing i knew i saw hailey's hand waving back and forth in front of me. Earth to boyfriend. Hailey said. Sorry Hailes.
