The next two weeks had proven a test of faith for June and Steffen. Actually, the entire family's faith was exercised as they intercede on June's behalf. The surgery went as well as the doctors intended, but to them fertility was still not a surety. They explained that Ectopic pregnancy is also more likely if she become pregnant. June wept hard and long after being told the news and stayed in hospital for almost a week with Steffen by her side every night. Sam and Cindy alternated the days and Laura spent her afternoons with her catching up on her new found love life and happenings at the office. This distracted her from the miserable heartache she felt, like her life was being pulled through the undercurrents of a river cascading down a waterfall.

How do I get back up the river? She laid still deep in thought. Trust me even if you can't trace me. All things work together for those who loves me. Finding comfort in the quiet voice she opened her heart to what God was doing in her in that moment. Rather than focusing on what the doctors said she thanked God for healing her. She sighed deeply and wiped her tears knowing visiting hours were about to begin.

"Jake is absolutely brilliant!" Laura declared when June asked for him. Laura and Jake_June's neighbour started dating. There's nothing more than finding that someone that sparks with you, you know?" She giggled. "I hope we are just as happy as you and Steffen, exempt the drama of another woman and baby of course, nah! I am not doing that." She fanned her hand in the air making June laugh.

"What if something else even more challenging came, what would you do then?" June asked.

Laura leaned both elbows on the bed June laid on and sighed as though in deep thought. "Hmm, then I would hope that Jake loves me and values our relationship enough to face those challenges with me." June nodded in agreement. "If not I will Whack him unconscious and drag him through the hurdles, he'll never see it coming! Hahahaaa!" Laura laughed sinisterly. June's jaw dropped, shocked at Laura's reasoning she closed her eyes and laid back on her pillow. "Hey boss are you sleeping?" Laura loud whispered.

"Nope, I am praying," June kept her eyes closed.

"ok I'll join you," Laura clasped her hands and closed her eyes.

"Father in heaven," June began. "I commit this girl's sanity before you. Take her and make her whole LORD."

"Mmm, yes LORD!" Laura replied in agreement. "Wait, WHAT?!"

June started to laugh, but continued her prayer. "You know she needs you Lord. There's nothing too hard for you."

"I'm not crazy Ms Jones!" June chuckled trying not to laugh out and irritate her stitches. "Why you have to make it sound like something is wrong with me?"

"Hey, you two, keep it down!" Ordered one of the duty nurses. "Careful you don't pop those stitches."

"Yes Ma'am "
"Yes Ma'am"

June and Laura complied and lowered their voices. June continued to enquire about work and the latest development on two marketing campaigns she was working on since she came on leave. She was offered the opportunity to work from home to still give a lead on them. She missed working in the atmosphere around the office, they are like one family, well except one, Scott. She still hadn't made up her mind what to do about him. Even though she felt as though she will pull him apart, something wanted to pity him. She shook her head to dismiss him from her thoughts. 'Let's focus on getting better.' She told herself.

When Laura left she fell asleep while looking out the window, next she felt was a warm breath against her cheek and woke up. "Hey sleeping beauty, how are you?"

She blinked weary eyes at Steffen and managed a smile. "Hi" Steffen stood tall above her, she adjusted to look up at him, still a bit weary she said, "God I think I understand when you said King David was good to look upon , because this man here is gooood to look upon."
