Steffen wrapped up the meeting with his foreman and headed to June's office. He hoped that she hadn't left for lunch as yet and decided to pick up something to take. 'Let's see, maybe she would like this. ' He stopped for Chinese food on the way, he felt excited anticipating seeing her again and took a deep breath.
"Sorry Mr. Morris, but Ms. Jones left for the day." Laura informed him.
"Really?" Steffen felt disappointed that he missed her. "If it isn't too much to ask, is there something wrong that she isn't in? I mean like is she ill?" He was becoming increasingly concerned and hoped she was ok.
"Why Ms. Jones is as healthy as a horse." Laura waved her hands hoping to brush off his concerns. "There's nothing to worry about, Dr. Oneal has everything under control."
Steffen was surprised at the mention of Dr. Oneal, "Ooo, Dr. Oneal, I see, yes then she's is good hands." Steffen's intuition kicked in. "That explains why she was so moody lately and didn't seem like herself."
"Yeah I know right, she was all sulking about the news and all, but I am sure it's going to be alright, as least these days off will give her time to come to terms with the fact that, that..." Laura paused realising she said too much already and looked sheepishly at Steffen.
Steffen stepped closer, "Are you saying that there is something that wrong that she can't cope with and is the cause of her mood swings and she is on leave because of it?" He didn't mean to pry, but he was genuinely interested in June and now hearing from Laura that she could be hurt made him worry. "Where is she right now?" He asked.
"Um, I ... I am not sure, maybe she went home, but who knows, she's June Jones, she might even be at a hotel or spa for these next few days." Laura couldn't get him convinced that there wasn't a problem.
He turned and left Laura and hurried to he car. Steffen turned the ignition and headed towards June's apartment. He called her number and got the answer machine, he tried once more, but to no avail she didn't answer. "Why does this woman make me worry all the time?" He muttered.

Meanwhile, June was at home writing in her journal all that she wanted to say to God. She listened to everything that her Dad said, and replayed the moments before her mother's death when her parents took her to Sunday school. She had vivid memories of singing in the children's choir and dancing on stage at Youth fest. She recalled her mother clapping for her in the front row, and how ecstatic she felt when the dance group won first prize.
'How did I managed to drift so far away?' June sighed heavily. "God please forgive me for putting this distance between us." She laid back on her pillow and spoke out loud. "Can you show me how to connect with you again?" I've been hurt and have hurt others because of the way I felt when mommy died, especially my Dad and Cindy, and Aunt Shelia. June rubbed her stomach and closed her eyes. "I know I've been away a very long time, but I wouldn't stayed away any longer. If it isn't too much to ask, Can you help me mend the bridges, and can you fix here for me? I don't know how it came like this, and I don't know how to deal with all that Dr. Oneal told me." She gently rubbed her stomach as tears stung her eyes. "Honestly I am very afraid of the outcome." She rolled over on her side and looked out the window. Her eyes felt heavy, she looked at her alarm clock as it turned 2:30 pm. 'It's very early still and I am feeling sleepy, it must be the medication.' She yawned and she started to drift off to sleep.
June dreamt she was walking along a stone path, it seemed very narrow, just enough space for one person. Along this path was a ditch, and it was too broad to jump over; she had to think of a way across. At the side of the path laid two pieces of wood, one longer than the other. She took the longer piece and pushed it till it reached the other side and crossed the ditch, but when she got over she heard a voice saying to bring the other piece of wood. She ran back and got it and crossed over again. She continued along the path and came to a stone door which had 'PUSH' engraved in the middle of it. June thought, 'I don't have enough strength to push this stone door, I am going to be trapped on this path.' She felt discouraged and sat at the bottom of the door with her head down. Suddenly she felt a presence with her and heard the voice again this time it said to push. She argued with the voice, "I can't, it's to heavy I can't push it in my own strength, my arms are too weak!" Then the voice told her to dig in the dirt on the right side of the stone door. She obeyed but wondered what it meant. When she dug in the ground and saw that the stone had an opening at the very bottom, it wasn't completely sealed. She immediately knew what to do and wedged the short piece of wood in the space as a lever. June then pushed on it and suddenly she felt the stone door release. She pushed with all her might repeatedly and each time it gave in and opened bit by bit. After some time there was enough space to pass through. June ran through the door without hesitation not noticing she carried the piece of wood with her. She then took the wood and turned it over and it had the words, 'My Grace is Sufficient for You' engraved on its side. June fell on the ground and cried, she could not contain the overwhelming feeling of happiness that flooded her, then she heard her name and looked around but saw no one. She heard her name again and her dream started to fade away as she woke up. June sat up and blinked a couple of times still feeling very drowsy and unsure of if she was still in her dream, she heard someone calling her name again and managed to get off the bed, but moaned wearily. The sound or her door bell rung repeatedly, this brought her to her senses. "Yes, I am coming! Who is it?"
