The Truth Pt 1

Isadora's POV

Am I hearing correct? Did Mr. Poe just said that Elwyn Baudelaire, Klaus, Violet and Sunny's uncle is Greta's biological father?

"What?" I said in shocked...

"I said-" I interrupted Mr. Poe.

"I know what you said but how is that possible?" I asked, mostly looking at Elwyn.

"It's complicated." Elwyn said, oh my... he seriously really annoying me, no wonder why Klaus so upset and furious because Elwyn isn't exactly telling everyone much like where have he been? Where was he? So many questions.

"Klaus was right... you're hiding something." I said, I don't sound very pleased with him.

"Hiding? What are you talking about?" Greta asked look at me then Elwyn then me again.

How am I supposed to tell her? Like everything? What did Klaus and I think about Elwyn after rescued me, Greta and my brother? And many more but how can I say? Wow... that sound sooo complicated, oh god... not me too.

"Um..." I look at Elwyn, I sighs and look at Greta, "it's complicated." I said how can I say?

"I don't get it." She said.

"Whatever you guys talking about not that bother me but, I leave you with your father for now and good luck." Mr. Poe said then coughing as he start to walk away, I stopped him and he turn round looking concerns.

"What about paperwork?" I asked.

"Oh! It's already done." Mr. Poe smile and walk away leaving us three alone in waiting room.

"Uh... I hope you don't mind but... um can Greta come to my friend's place?" I asked.

"Not at all." Elwyn said smile at both of us.

"You probably should come too, I think Klaus need to hear this, of course Violet and Sunny too I mean if you're their uncle and Greta is your daughter which means her as their cousin." I said, I never thought of to say this.

"I don't know if that's such a good idea." Elwyn said.

"Why? Because you won't tell us the truth?" I asked crossed my arms and raise my eyebrows.

"I understand but-" he get interrupted by me.

"If you say it's complicated one more time I swear..." I stopped myself, I don't want to make it sound like in bad way... I supposed to be good girl and always am like anyone wanted.

"If your secret was that bad then you don't have choices... we all keep secrets too but don't you think they deserve to know the truth?" Greta said I smile at her, I'm glad she's my best friend after all, I turn to see Elwyn.

"And hers." I added, we need to know why isn't Greta with her biological father after all of these years and what happened to her mother?

"You won't like it." Elwyn said sighs heavily.

"We all have dark secrets... it's normal." I said.

"Not like this..." He said.

"Are you worried that they've might reject you?" Greta asked.

"Or you." I added raise eyebrows at her, what if Greta reject her father too?

"Yes but I deserve that." He said.

"Well sooner or later, it's all the same and you still need to tell us the truth." I said shrugged.

"Okay." He said.

"Okay?" I asked.

"Okay. I will tell you all the truth." He said.

Klaus's POV

I'm so not ready for this but I need to know desperate, I sighs and took a seat on couch with Isadora sat next to me on my left side and snuggled a bit while Greta sat on my right side, looking straight at Elwyn and waiting. Duncan sat on my comfy armchair while Violet and Quigley decided to sit on the floor but not too close as it seem the brothers and Violet aren't exactly speaking each other at the moment after Duncan found out my sister cheated on him with Quigley. Sunny and Beatrice are in their room probably playing toys.

I tried to ask Isadora why is Greta here? It not that I don't want her here but why is she here? But she won't tell me at all not even tiny bit.

"Right, we're here." Isadora said so Elwyn can start talking now... now it's time to find out.

Elwyn cleared his throat before start speaking, "Well I don't know how to say this to start with but I might have to blunt even though you probably reject me anyway..." he started...

"But why is Greta here?" Quigley asked.

"It kinda part of his secrets." Isadora said, wait what? Do they know each other before? I mean Greta doesn't seem like she knows him at all.

"Carry on." I said, dying need to know.

"Olaf...and I got married before-" he get interrupted by all of us... including Greta.

"WHAT?!"

"Hold on, you're gay?" Quigley asked seem confused and little surprised.

"Yes." Elwyn said.

"And so is Count Olaf? Quigley asked.

"Bisexual." Elwyn said.

"Before what?" Violet asked... "you know after you said you and Count Olaf got married."

"Became members of VFD but not for long." Elwyn said look at me, why is he looking at me? I wasn't even born yet or was I?

"Because you guys become badass." Duncan said raise his eyebrows, but get hit by Isadora, "OW! What was that for?!" He shouted.

"Don't be mean." She said.

"No, well I never was but Olaf did." Elwyn said, "but not after we left." He added.

"You guys left VFD?" Quigley asked.

"Yes because your father and I had some disagreement situation." Elwyn said look at me and Violet... but why? What did they talk about? Hmm that a excellent question.

"Why?" I asked.

"He didn't like the idea of me and Olaf's marriage and that we want to have a kid, you know to start a family like your parents did to you all... he never trust Olaf and he kept saying he had a bad feeling about him, like something will happen to them or anyone else... I just... didn't believe him so that why we left VFD."
