A week later...

Quigley's POV

For me? What did my sister meant? Was it because I helped Carmelita? Or was it because I haven't finish helping her to find a place or a guardian to look after her? Ugh... Too many questions to think of reason or why. But easy to find out is talk to my sister and hopefully she will tell me why. It's been a week since she told me Carmelita is safe at Elwyn's place. She seem lots better now, the day after she helped Carmelita and her nose was bruised... Very dark bruised that I didn't realise I hit her too hard but she was so lucky that she didn't have broken nose. Klaus and I still haven't talk since the fight we were in. Violet and Duncan seem to stop talking each other... I don't know what to do at the moment, they need to talk and sort out their problems either they'll date or Violet to be with me if she want me, or never date at all.

Everyone are in living room, watching the telly in silence... I look at my sister who leaned her head on Klaus shoulder with his arms round her waist, to my left... Violet sat quietly on her own on Klaus's comfy chair... Duncan sat on the floor by my foot who I happen sat on stool and lastly Sunny and Beatrice on playmat, playing with toys and each other.

Sunny gasp, "look! It's Greta!" She pointed to TV as she see picture of Greta on the news... That when I realized the news was talking about the fire... Greta's parents didn't make it... Her father died in the fire only to save her mother life who happen to be 6 and half months pregnant, Greta's mother was taken to hospital but she didn't make it... The doctors has save the baby's life but only put him in intensive care because he was still small and very poorly... Greta was lucky to survive the fire just like us. What is happening? Was it accident?

"Oh my goodness!" Violet said, seem shocked to hear the news.

"I need to go." Isadora said quickly stand up and about to leave.

"Wait! Where are you going?" I asked.

"Greta needs me." She said left apartment to visit hospital to see Greta who possibly still at hospital to look after her new brother or maybe it's because she doesn't have home anymore. I wondered what will happen to her and her newborn brother.

"What will happen to them?" Duncan asked look at all of us except Violet.

"I don't know. I just hope they don't separate them. Greta and her brother doesn't deserve to be separate." Klaus said, I nodded in agreement with him.

"Elwyn." Duncan said.

"What?" Klaus said.

"Elwyn can look after Greta and of course her brother when he get better." Duncan said, that good idea but very bad idea is Carmelita and Esme used to locked Great up and what they didn't know is Carmelita at his place. Isadora and I decided not to tell them otherwise there gonna be trouble and we don't want that.

"If he agrees to look after them." I said.

"Of course he will. I mean he lived on his own, right?" Duncan asked.

"Yeah." Klaus said, "I speak to him."

I noticed, Violet been on silent for whole time during the conversation we were having earlier just now.

"I hope they're okay." Duncan said.

"Sure they will. Isadora is with them." I said... I'm sure we all thinking same thing... Was the fire accident? Was her parents members of VFD? I sighs.

Isadora's POV

After just got off tram station and ran toward to hospital that was nearby. I arrived inside the hospital... Went to the desk asking for Greta, was told to go the floor 8 so I took shortcut by using elevator and click number 8.

I arrived on floor 8 and came out of the elevator to the desk again and asked for Greta... Was told to go waiting room... I walked in waiting room to find Greta on one do these chair alone... There no one here but just her, I sat down next to her.

"Hey." I started, she look up at me.

"Hi." She responded back.

"Everything is okay?" I asked.

"My brother in intensive care and I was not allow to see him because he wasn't very well and doctors said they will help him in every step ways. But he will be like that for couple months because he wasn't meant to be born." She explained everything... Poor her.

"So did police came in?" I asked.

"Yes. They wasn't sure if it's an accident or not. They couldn't find what cause it." She said, I sighs.

"Was your parents members of VFD?" I asked, I decided took the risk by asking her that was meant to be secret but if she knew about it then we need to work together and figure out how to stop the villians for troubles us.

"VFD?" She asked, I sighs...

"Volunteer Fire Department." I whispered, don't want anyone hear us in case they may undercover just like Count Olaf did.

"I wasn't meant to hear their conversation but I didn't stay too long. They did talk about it but didn't say they're members of VFD." She said, which means they are definitely members of VFD or used to, like Count Olaf.

"The fire... Greta. It's not accident." I said... She seem little taken back.

"What?" She said, unbelievable, "I mean how did you know that?"

"Because it's happened to me and my brothers... The Baudelaires too." I said, "they were trying take our fortune and sapphire." I added.

"What? By killing us?" She asked.

"No, to get one of us." I said.

"But they kept you three and the Baudelaires?" She asked I nodded.

"Yeah... Maybe they just want to wait until one of us reach age of 18 which Violet already an 18 years old and I'm very worried about her." I said, it's true, I'm worried about Violet. I'm worried and fear of what will they do to us... I took massive deep breath.

"But you all work out together and always kept escaping, you always win." She said, true, very true.
