(Snow's note: This did happen before the story takes place on the same time line as the story, this is just a random part of Blue's backstory that I wrote)
The future astronaut Blue woke up from a long vivid dream. What was it about? Right it was about the mission to Zazomonxde Estraxezd, a strange name for a planet that's why everyone just calls it the new planet. He got up and brushed his night blue hair out of his dark blue eyes. He got ready, wearing his normal dark jeans, blue shirt, and navy jacket.
He started walking to school through his neighborhood. Even though, he had lived here most of his life it still made him uneasy, with strange figures barely visible in the small woods on the right side of the cracked sidewalk and the green tinted poodles, but this was one of the best cities left in the world. Maybe it was just his nerves about the test today. He was failing this class and if his grade went any lower he would be taken off the mission, and he couldn't let that happen.
When he turned the corner to the school street he met up with his significant other. They had curly brown hair and beautiful imperial topaz eyes. "Did you study for the test today?" She asked as they walked. "Yeah, but I'm still not confident that I'll pass." The dark blue haired boy answered. "Don't worry I'm sure it'll be fine." He tried to reassure his boyfriend "Then we'll both go to the new world and live happily." "If I pass."Blue added with a joking smile, making them both smile.
The first bell rang and they split up, because they had different first period classes. Blue's history class seemed to last hours. He kept worrying about the French Language Arts test after lunch. It was the only class he had a C- in, all of his other classes were A+'s. If he failed this, he would no longer meet the criteria for the trip. He couldn't just stay here as the planet got worse, and he couldn't leave Orange. They promised each other they'd be there for each other. They were planning to start a life together. It seems like something neither of them should be worried about yet, only being 16.
He pulled himself out of his thoughts and tried to pay attention to the history lesson. "As you all should have read: the war first began in 2731, it lasted over a century and ended in 2842. Despite the war being over for 200 years ago there are still visible scars on the environment." The teacher continued the lesson. A grey haired girl in front of Blue raised her hand. "Yes, Luna." "Is it true we used to be able to live on all 7 continents?" "Yes, can anybody tell me what year Oceania, Antarctica, and the Americas became inhabitable?" The teacher answered and turned the question, while walking in front of the black board. The boy in the dark blue jacket raised his hand. "Blue" Mx. Orchard called on him. "In 2120." He answered. "Correct." They said continuing "As homework you will read from chapter 21 to 23 on the 21st century." Everyone began to pack up as the bell rang, signaling the second passing period.
His second class was Science, his best class. Then he had one more class until lunch, then the test. In the rhythm of school he went to get his science books from his locker without thinking about it, and headed to his next class.

Before he knew it it was already lunch time. He walked over to the grassy spot under the large oak tree where Orange was sitting. "You had French Language Arts first, so was the test hard." He asked the person with brown hair and an orange hair clip. "I didn't think so." They answered making Blue feel slightly better about taking it. "How different do you think the new world will be from Earth?" He asked, gazing into the sky with hope. "Hopefully it will be similar to how Earth used to be." "Yeah back in like 2100." They both eat their food while looking at the clouds.
Soon the next bell rang. Fourth period, the test. He took his seat barely breathing. "Calm down, you need to stay calm or you're going to fail'' he told himself. The test was passed out; a few multiple choice answers and 5 written responses (3 paragraphs). The multiple choice was easy but now he had to do the written responses, and he almost forgot the text. Having to reread the passage at least 3 times per question, he tried not to think about the time. He completed the last question right as time ran out, not being able to revise what he wrote.

Barely being able to concentrate on the rest of his classes, all he could think about was what he did wrong on the test. Hoping he didn't fail. The rest of school went by even slower than the first half. It was even harder to wait for the results then it was to actually take the test.
After what felt like an eternity the last bell finally rang. He still had so much homework to do. The scores would be released tomorrow after lunch so that was something to look forward to, hopefully. He headed back home. He had put off most of his other homework in favor of studying. Time for the most boring next 2-3 hours of his life.
As soon as he finished his work he immediately went to sleep, tomorrow comes faster if you're asleep. Sure enough it did feel like that, it was the next morning quickly. He did his normal routine of: getting dressed, eating breakfast, brushing his teeth, and then doing his hair. He walked to school, like every other day and met up with Orange at the school corner. "How do you think you did?" She asked. "Badly" Blue answered before thinking about it. "I'm sure you did fine." He tried to reassure him. "What score do you think you got?" He asked thinking he could guess his score from theirs. About 10 ish percent lower. "Probably like a 90." They said after a few seconds. "That's good." He calmed down a little.
During the first period he zoned out after the teacher said "Now more information on this time period..." knowing it was just going to be a long talk. He imagined what the new planet would look like and how his life would change after this year. The first mission to the new planet and he would be a part of it. He wondered who the other 10 people who would also be on the ship would be like. Possibly he could make friends there before getting to the new planet.
The bell rang while he was still in thought, so he quickly packed up and headed to his next class. He left his book in the classroom last time so there was no need to go back to his locker. Today they were doing hands on chemistry. It was really cool to watch the liquid go from bright blue, to neon pink, then to deep red. All we did was find ways to turn the liquid different colors, like add a little bit of copper to get green and so on.
It was so fun and it felt like the shortest class. The next class was math, and math is boring. It's so easy to just memorize equations that it's not fun anymore.
Just as suspected all we did was solve equations. It was finally lunch time though, just a little while longer until we got the test results back. He sat under the same tree with Orange. "The new planet should just barely be visible in the north tonight." She said laying on the ground looking at the sky. Blue laid next to him and also looked towards the sky. "We should look at it through my telescope after school." The blue haired boy suggested still looking at the sky. "That sounds like a great date." The person in an orange shirt and tie replied. "Yeah" They just laid together for most of lunch.
Then the scores were posted so they went to go check. He got a B, a passing grade. He did it, he would get to go on the mission. Him and Orange hugged each other. They both passed.
