A Story of Betrayal

Second murder

Coconut just left after. We had also all finished our tasks so I asked "Dose any one have a task that's close to here, because I have a task in admin?" "I also have a task in admin." Cherry said with her hood still covering her eyes, and her hands in her hoodie pocket. Cyan was the fist one to leave followed by Lime. They both talked to each other. Me and Cherry walked behind them and had our own conversation. 

"How many tasks do you have left?" "Just a few." Cherry answered letting her hood go back to normal. "and you?" "I have four more tasks." I said "We're close to finished." "Yeah I know" She said smiling "I can't wait to get back to earth." "how long do you think it's been?" I say with realization. "What do you mean?" Cherry asked looked confused. "We were in the closed pods it was supposed to take ten years to get to the other planet. Do you think it's been longer do to the sabotage?" I explained. "I never thought of that, but probably." Cherry said looking down "It could be years later." "Maybe that's why I can't contact my friends." I thought out loud then immediately retracted "No, it couldn't have been that long." "I hope not" Cherry said very concerned. "Hey Cherry, even if it's been that long and all our friends are grown up, we'll still be friends." "Yeah, friends for ever." We were silent in happy thought until we got to admin. 

TW: Gore

I still hadn't swiped my card, so while Cherry was fixing wires near the door I went to the other side of table. Back there I saw a trail of blood leading to the vents and the same strange liquid as last time. There was no body this time though. Cyan saw me freeze and came over to see what was happening. "We have to find the body." They said as Lime and Cherry also came to check it out "We should split up and look." every one nodded and then ran to find anything else. I ran towards navigation looking in at communications on the way, nothing in there.  

I made it to navigations without seeing anything. I suddenly got a sinking feeling like something was going to go wrong.  Just then Orange came around the corner from weapons "Hey Lemon what are you doing?" I jump in surprise not realizing they were there "Sorry. I was just looking into navigation." "Cool, I have a task in there." He said, and we both walked in together. 

The body was in there, draped over the control table. His green hair had blood in, and his body was covered in stab wounds. One of his achilles tendons were slashed. It looked like torture wounds. Both me and Orange stood there in shock for a few seconds. Then she pointed at the window seal by the control table. There was a small dagger covered in blood where they were pointing. That's probably the murder weapon. "who would do this?" Orange said with horror and sadness in her voice. Then I realized he hadn't actually seen the body last time, and his reaction was the same as mine last time. This time I was just absolutely shocked that someone would do this again, and in such a short time too. I looked around one more time and realized there was a small blood trail leading to the right vents, just like in admin. 

I had to calm down and look for evidence so I could tell everyone at the meeting and we could finally catch the killer. Under the body there was some sort of fabric. I slowly walked to the body, as I got closer to the body I became more nauseous. I had already seen a dead body, but it made me feel incredibly sick to have to touch him. I gently moved the body over to pick up the fabric, witch was covered in blood. It was a scrunchy bow like the type me and Cherry had yesterday. 

 I headed over to the cafeteria and went to the middle table. Then I pressed the button that Coconut had installed. As soon as I pressed the button red lights flashed though out the ship. With in minutes every one was gather in the cafeteria. 

"What happened Lemon?" Purple said looking concerned. I took my hand away from the button and said "There's been another murder." "Oh no, who died?" Pink asked shocked. "It was Green." Orange answered. "There was blood in admin that lead to the vents." Cyan stated some evidence. "There was also blood leading to the vents in navigation, were the body was." I state. "It was the same with the last body." Orange said and then though a second "It must be the way the killer gets around the ship." "But no one can fit in there" Blackberry said. "True but what if we made it to the other planet before the sabotage" Cyan though aloud. "What's that supposed to mean?" Blue asked cyan. "We know there is some sort of life form there, what if they got in before the pods could open. Maybe that's what caused the damage to the ship." Cyan explained. "Ok that makes sense but what dose it have to do with this murder" Lime said "The killer could have been from the other planet" Cyan explained. It made sense that the beings from the other planet were different from humans, and could do other things we can't.

"Did any one see some one by the vents?" Cyan asked. "Well I saw Orange just standing at the vents earlier today." Blackberry confessed. "Come to think of it I haven't seen them sense breakfast."  Purple also said. "As soon as we started looking for a body I saw Orange running toward navigation, were the body was." Cherry chimed in still looking at the table like last time. "They meet up with me right before I found the body, that's why they were the first one here" I said realizing that Orange could be the killer.

"IT'S NOT ME" Orange yelled. I did think her reaction to the body was genuine, but maybe they were just a good actor.
