A Story of Betrayal

Tomorrow

When we got to medbay we saw Coconut walking out, she also looked like she had just been crying. She walked into the dorm room. "I've finished what I can today, but should all probably go to bed." She said her voice slightly shaky. I think by now realization had settled into everyone. Our crewmates, our friends Kiwi, Green, and Orange were gone forever.

We walked into the dorm room and I looked around, to see who was still missing. I saw Coconut, Purple, Cyan, Lime, and Blackberry. Pink, Cherry, and Blue weren't here. "Where's Cherry?" I asked. She should have gotten here by now. I know Pink's in communications right now, I should probably go check on her.

"We should go check her." Blackberry said getting up from her pod and looking worried. I agreed and me and her headed out to look for Cherry, Pink, and Blue. They would probably get to the dorms on their own, I mean it was already night, but it wasn't really a good idea to leave people out alone with what could happen.

Me and Blackberry started walking to communications were Pink was. While we were walking I noticed that she was scratching at her finger nails. She had already scratched off to nails of her chipped nail polish. "Are you ok?" I ask looking at her hand. "Yeah I'm fine." She said with a small quick smile, then noticed where I was looking and followed it up with "It's just a nerves habit." We kept walking silently. We didn't talk the entire rest of the time we walked. 

When we finally got to communications Pink was there, putting her book away. "Hey everyone's already in the dorm room." I say. "Ok, I'll be there soon, I'll also tell Cherry and Blue as well." She said walking towards the door. Me and Blackberry stepped back to let her pass. Pink started walking towards O2 and navigations. 

"I guess this means we should head back." I say turning towards the girl with long black hair. "Yeah, we should probably get some sleep."

We walked back, still without talking. Everyone there was already asleep. I got into my pod and also tried to fall asleep. Nothing really happened today. I hope that means nothing will happen for  a while, or maybe we were just lucky today. I just hope everyone here can make it back to Earth safely. Tomorrow I'd use my communication device to get into contact with my friends on Earth and the could get us some help. We were all going to be ok, we were all going to go home. Right now I just needed to go to sleep though, so I closed my eyes.

Blue's POV

Carrying the only picture I was able to get back from Cherry I walked to navigations crying. Everyone was probably already in their pod, so I could just sit in there and cry for as long as I need. Why did this have to happen? Why wasn't I able to help them? I knew she was innocent the entire time. Why wasn't I able to convince everyone it wasn't him? I let Orange die. I should have tried harder to protect them. I know she would have protected me to the very end if it were switched.

I walked into the navigation room and saw Cherry sitting on a chair in front of the controls. I quickly put the picture into my pocket so she couldn't take it again. "Don't worry, I won't have to wait long." Cherry said happily. "What do you mean?" I asked concerned about how happy she looked. She clearly had something planned. "I asked someone to meet me here with out telling anyone." She said. Then she pulled her red hood slightly over her eyes and made a fake pouting face before saying "because I didn't feel comfortable talking to any one else, and Blackberry already had to much to deal with." in a voice that sounded like she was trying to be cute. 

"You're fucking horrible." I say, the tears still running down my face. She manipulated someone to walking into their death, and she was happy about it. Why was she doing this? There was no reason she needed to kill or hurt anyone. Was she really just doing this because she found it fun? 

"I'm not denying that I'm a terrible person, but you are too. At least I'm aware of exactly who I am." Cherry said with a flat expression and voice, putting her hood down. "W-wha...I-i'm...y-you're- What do you mean?" I say struggling to find words. I wasn't expecting that. She was an actual killer, and now she's trying to say that I'm a bad person. I mean maybe, but she shouldn't be the one to say that. 

"Well I mean you are the one who chose your own morals over your partners life." It felt like she was glaring directly into my soul. "That's not true." I say. It wasn't true, I didn't choose anything over them. 

"You had the chance to just go along with me, and no one would have gotten hurt, but you chose not to. You let this happen. If you had just let me do what I was doing Orange wouldn't be dead. It's your fault that she is and you know that." She said in an emotionless flat voice like a robot, while continued to glare at me without blinking. I would never just go along with Cherry, but she wasn't wrong about it being my fault. "Now you have the same chose again: follow my plan and there only needs to be one more death, or don't and kill everyone on this ship. It's your chose, so if more people die then needed that would also be your fault. All you need to do is stay here until the trial and stay quiet."

"Fine I'll-"

"Great you can start now!" She said excitedly getting up as we heard foot steps coming towards the door.
