A Story of Betrayal

Intro

Hi my name is Lemon, I'm one of the new crewmates on the first ship to our new planet. I'm currently sixteen and should be twenty-two when I come back to earth. JAXA finally found a new livable plant that we can move to. They also say there are other lifeforms on the planet, maybe I can become friends with aliens. I hope I at least make a few friends, but its ok if I don't. I already trained since I was five and know 7 different languages, in case of crash landings in different countries. All of my other friends were very sportive, and I have found ways to contact them while on the ship or the other planet. I had designed the communication my self which is how I got into the small group of twelve that gets to go to the second planet. I hope I get along with the other crewmates.

Its finally the day I get to meet my other crewmates. I open the large metal door to the waiting room, for the station. It had walls lined with the pods we were going to sleep in until we got to the next planet. The floor, walls, and ceiling were made of metal, and was extremely loud when I tried to walk. Every one in the room seemed to have there own color just like me. There was a smaller door off the side of room, probably were they keep the space suits. There was also another metal door on the other side of the room that lead to the main part of the ship, that we are going to live in when we get to the other world, until we get houses.

A girl, about an inch taller than me with shoulder length hair dyed purple with two black highlights, came up to me and said "Hi I'm Purple she/her" I smiled and cheerfully said "Hi I'm Lemon she/her" "I like your dress" she said walking to her pod to wait for take off.

I decided to also go to my pod. A few minutes later the person in the pod next to me came. Another girl, she had long black hair and was wearing black gloves with a black crop top and skirt with leggings under. I thought I'd start a conversation with her while we wait for every one to arrive so we can take off "Hi I'm Lemon she/her, what's your name." "I'm Blackberry she/her". Then there was a few moments of silence before she asked "What is your assigned job?" "Oh I just get to do the left over tasks... and you." "I'm the navigator." "Cool, I really like your hair." "Thanks, your bun is super cute." "Thanks"

We talked about random things for a few more minutes before all twelve of us had arrived. All of us got into our pods and they closed. The next time we wake up we'll be on the new planet testing the space ships there.

Suddenly I was awakened to the sound of sirens and red flashing lights. I quickly got up to try and see what was happening. When I got my pod open to finally see what was happening, I saw everyone else panicking too except Blackberry who seamed to have already left. "HEY WHATS HAPPENING" I shout over the commotion. "NO ONE KNOWS" Shouted back a person wearing a cyan T-shirt and jeans. "WE SHOULD GO ONTO THE LIVING PART OF THE SHIP" a boy in a brown suit suggested. We all began to open the door and go to the other part of the ship.

The door opened into the hall, right across from Med-bay. All of us ran to the cafeteria table to see the map and find the problem. When we got there the girl with long black hair that had fallen out of her meet bun was already at the table trying to solve the problem. Apparently some one or some thing had gotten onto the ship and destroyed most of the technology and turned the ship around.

Blackberry and a boy wearing a dark green uniform finally got the problem simile solved. We all ended up with task lists to get the ship back on track. My task list was:

Swipe card (admin)

Fix wires (electric, navigation, then cafeteria)

Empty chute (O2 and then storage)

Start reactor (reactor)

Divert power to security (electric and then security)

Download data (electric and then communications)

Align engine output (upper engine and then lower engine)

Scan (med-bay)

I decided to do the download data one first because I could use the communication room to try and use my communication devise to talk to my friends back on earth. I didn't get how the med-bay scan helps fix the ship, maybe there just being cautious in case the person who destroyed the ship was still on board. I thought about who or what could have caused the ship to be ruined as I walked passed admin and storage to get to electrical. The room was pretty dark. It had padded tile and a bunch or wires on the floor and scattered all over the electrical equipment, even the one jutting out into the middle of the room.

I walked around the equipment to the back of the room. It wasn't much better back there, but I managed to find the data compartment in the dim light. I had been sorting data for what seemed like a few days but was probably only an hour, when some one else walked in and started working on the wires next to me. I couldn't tell who they were in the bad lighting, but I said hi to them anyways. They said hi back, their voice sounded surprisingly cheerful. "You seem happy" I say smiling. "While I just want to try to bring others up by seeing the bright side." they replied. "that sounds really nice. You seem cool, whats your name." "I'm Cyan they/them." "Lemon she/her." We both just finish our jobs and leave together.

As soon as we got into the hallway with better lighting I could see them. They were wearing a cyan T-shirt, jeans, and a light blue jacket with a lot of pins including a non-binary and rainbow flag and also a bunch of space pins from different agency. They had short hair that was light blue. "were is your next task at?" I asked, maybe we would be able to go to communications together. "In security, and you?" "In coms." "while guess we'll see each other at lunch. Bye" "Bye" I say as we both leave in opposite directions down the metal hall.
