Scott's Point of View

The sun was up and so was I. I've been up since 7:43 AM, but haven't gotten out of bed.

I was just petting the hair out of Mitch's face as he cuddled to my chest. Every once and a while he would stir in his sleep, making me fear he might wake up.

He looked so cute in his sleep.

I looked over at my phone to see it was 11:00 AM. Just then my stomach growled, waking up Mitch.

"What the hell was that?" He laughed, his eyes still closed.

"Your alarm. C'mon let's go eat!" I went to get up when he wrapped his arms around my waist, making it impossible to move.

"But you're warm..." he mumbled.

Somewhere inside of me didn't want to get up either.

I smiled down at him and resumed to pet his hair. "Fine... I’ll stay..."

"Good, because if you didn't, I would replace all your toilet paper with tissue paper." he kidded.

"You monster!" I joked.

We stayed in that position for well over 4 hours. We just talked and when there was nothing to talk about, we would just make random noises.

'Oh Mitch...' I thought, 'You have no idea how much I love you..."

Kevin's Point of View

I really didn't want to get up... but I knew I would regret not getting any work done.

I opened my eyes expecting to see Kirstie and Avi still asleep together on the bed, but instead I saw I was alone.

I got up to stretch and my back was killing me. I hated to sleep in chairs.

Just then, I made  'eye contact' with the bed. It was as if it was calling me to lie down.

'Maybe just 10 more minutes...' I thought, well aware it isn't going to be just 10 minutes.

I crawled into the covers and almost instantly fell asleep, not planning to get up anytime soon.

Avi's Point of View

My nose still hurt like hell, but it was a lot better than earlier this morning. I noticed no one was downstairs except Kirstie and me.

"Where's Scomiche and Kevin?" I asked, frying up some bacon.

Kirstie was sitting right in front of me, her head in her hands as she rested her elbows on the counter.

"Probably confessing their love to each other and I bet Kevin is just taking a shower or something..." she said, looking half asleep.

"Are you still tired?" I asked. Even though I already knew the answer, I thought I still should ask.

She nodded her head as her eyes got heavy. I smiled at her and chuckled under my breath. I turned off the stove and went over to pick her up.

"C'mon, Kirstie, you're going back to bed." I picked her up bridal style and walked over to the sofa in the room where we played truth or dare.

I lied her down and found myself also very tired, so I climbed onto the couch and held her close.

"I love you..." she mumbled as she fell fast asleep.

"I love you too."

I rested my chin on her head and slowly fell back asleep.

*Minutes later*

"No.... no.... stop.... no please don't... stop!"

I woke up to the sound of Kirstie's voice, scared and it sounded like she was crying.

I jolted up and saw that she was hitting my chest. "Stop!" She screamed. "Let me go!"

She must be having a bad dream. I sat up and placed her on my lap. She was still thrashing her body everywhere and was still asleep.

"Kirstie! Kirstie wake up!" I called to her, holding her face in my hands.

One hand came up and slapped me in the face, hitting my nose. It started to bleed but I didn't pay much attention to the blood flowing out over my face or the pain.

"No! Let me go!!" She screamed again. She sounded more angry. Before she could hurt me again, I just hugged her, rubbing her back.

Moments later, she stopped yelling. Only it was worse, she was crying.

My heart started to ache as she sobbed in my arms.

"Shhh... it's okay..." I purred. "It's okay..."

"Please..." she whimpered, "Let me go..."

She then relaxed in my arms and a few minutes later she stopped crying. I held her in my arms, afraid if I would have let her go the nightmare would come back.

I kissed her head and leaned back on the couch, burying my face in her hair.

"It's okay..." I whispered again in her ear, "I'm right here. No one's ever gonna hurt you..." I promised. And that promise, I was willing to keep.

Forever.
