Scott's Point of View

“Oh sh… ouch! My head’s killing me!” I muttered under my breath. I tried applying pressure to make the pain less, well, painful. Just as I looked around to my surroundings I found a sleeping Mitch, with my head on his bare chest. ‘Wait a minute…’ I thought to myself. ‘What happened last night?!’

I tried to get out of his grip without waking him but once one of his hands slid off my shoulder he woke up. I cursed under my breath as he rubbed his eyes and stretched. He looked relatively happy, showing he didn’t drink as much as me last night.

“Mitch…” I asked, looking at his morning face.

“Yeah,” he answered, his voice cracking in the middle as he stretched.

“We didn’t… you know… do... what happened last night?!” I stuttered out. ‘Please oh please say nothing happened! Oh please!’ I prayed.

 Mitch’s Point of View

“…what happened last night?!” he asked. I felt my heart drop into my empty stomach.

“What do you mean?” I asked back, playing dumb.

“Like, did we… umm…” He gave me a look before his face went red.

“Oh god no!!” I laughed. He sighed in relief.

“Thank God!” he exclaimed, running his hands through his hair.

My heart fell even deeper. “Do you remember nothing after you passed out?” I asked, trying to see what he remembered.

“Wait, I passed out? Like was it a pass out a sleep or pass out in mid-sentence?”

‘More like mid-make out…’ I thought bitterly. “You passed out once you helped me to my room…” I lied. It was obvious that he didn’t remember or even WANT to remember last night.

“Well then, thank you for not letting me pass out in the hallway, or on the stairs!” He laughed. I smiled and laughed with him.

“You’re very welcome,” he smiled at me before getting up, leaving me with the cold from the air conditioner to set in.

“I’m gonna get some pain killers, you need some?” he asked before walking out the door.

‘Will it help me with the pain in my heart?’ I thought. “Nah, I’m good.”

He smiled at me before leaving and shutting the door behind him. I grabbed the pillow beside me and covered my face, screaming.

‘He didn’t want to remember…. I can’t tell him… he’ll freak out!’ I thought. I grabbed my phone, opened it and texted Kirstie. “Need to talk… you there?” I sent it, only to see a bubble to pop up saying no service.

“Oh you little…” I glared at the device before trying again. “You will send!!” I started to sta- I mean tap it angrily when I heard a knock at the door.

“What’s going on here?” I heard a familiar voice call from the door.

“I made a mistake!” I grunted at the blonde in front of me.

“And what is that?” he asked.

“No internet… no service… I’ve rented a hell hole!” I whined, flopping my arms at my side.

“Hey! Don’t say that!” he came over and wrapped his arm around me in a hug. “Where ever Mitch Grassi is, it’s anything BUT hell…” he said, petting some hair from my face. “But you know what hell really is?”

“What?” Before I could process what was happening, I felt fingers tickling my sides. “NO SCOTT NO! STOP! PLEASE! UNCLE! UNCLE!” I begged.

“What, what was that? Keep going?!” he teased. Soon my laughter turned into screaming and he got off. His eyes were tearing up from laughing his head off and so were mine.

“Now you’re gonna get it!” I pounced up and started to hang on his neck as he resumed his laugh attack. “Take it Hoying!” His hands were on my arms as he tried to shake me off.

He then knew there was only one way to get me off. He twisted himself as he flew onto the bed. We landed, not well, but we landed.

 “Scott…”

“Yeah, Mitchie?” He asked, breathing hard from what just went down. I popped my head out of his hair and looked at him.

“I can’t breathe!” I heaved out. He laughed as he rolled off.

 “Sorry…” he whispered.

“I don’t know what just went down but breakfast is ready…“ We shot up and looked at the door to see Avi looking at both of us. I looked over at the guy next to me, sweating and breathing hard.

“It’s not what it looks like!!” I explained, jumping away from Scott.

“Guys, it was bound to happen sooner or later…” Avi rambled on, holding his arms out and looking at the ceiling.

“Nothing happened!!” We both screamed at him. He held his hands up in defense and left, letting the door slam behind him.

“Let’s go before he tells Kirstie and Kevin what DIDN’T and will never happen…” He pulled himself up and held out his hand and I took it.

“Oh please, you know you want some of this,” I said, jokingly, showcasing my body.

“Oh yeah!” We continued to walk downstairs to hear a lot of laughing.

“So I said ‘Guys…” We heard Avi say through the door.

“What was that Avi?” Scott said, giving him the ‘go any further in the story you will wake up with no beard and no hair’ face.

“So I said ‘Guys, breakfast is ready…’” he said, his voice a little higher than usual.

I came up behind him patting his back. “Good boy,” then went straight to the bacon.

We ate breakfast and talked about how hung over we were. Then around 1:00 PM we decided to get ready and go to the beach right outside.

This is going to be interesting…
