Julie and the Phantoms

Chapter 18

Willie's p.o.v

I was walking around Caleb's club. I was helping set up for the next event. As I was walking past a closed door I could hear Caleb. I decided to stop doing what I was doing and listen.

Caleb: So here is the plan. Tonight at the dance you are going to get Julie to dance with you. You need to get her alone. When she is separated from everyone else we will take her. I will then deal with the guys.

Nick: Why are you doing this? What good comes from killing people?

Caleb: I'm just doing what's best for me. One day you might understand.

I heard footsteps so I backed away from the door quickly and tried to make it look like I wasn't eavesdropping.

Caleb: Hello William

Willie: Hi Caleb.

Caleb: What are you doing here?

Willie: I was helping set up for tonight then I was going to go skate around after.

Caleb: Ok. See you later tonight. 

Once I was far enough away from Caleb I grabbed my skateboard and left the club. I need to find Alex.

Julie's p.o.v

Tonight was semi formal. Carrie, Kayla, Flynn, Nick, Reggie, Alex, Luke and I were all going together. Flynn was getting ready with me at my house. Carrie and Kayla were going to meet us here before all go to the school together.

Flynn: Let's get ready! 

We started getting ready by painting our nails. We wanted to get it out of the way before we did our hair and makeup. I was going for a more neutral colour. Flynn was going with emerald green. It matched her dress perfectly. After our nails were dry we started doing our hair and makeup. 

Reggie's p.o.v

Right now the guys and I were in the studio getting ready for tonight. We had half an hour before we have to go. Kayla, Carrie and Nick would be here any minute. I walked out of the studio and saw Ray He was setting up some kind of backdrop so he could take pictures.

Reggie: Do you need any help with that?

Ray: Yeah I could use some help. Thanks Reggie.

Reggie: No problem. 

I helped him set up the backdrop for the pictures. We then saw a car pull into the driveway.

Ray: I think Carrie, Kayla and Nick are here.

Reggie: Ok I'll tell the guys.

I walked back into the studio.

Reggie: Everyone is here.

Alex: Ok.

Luke's p.o.v

We walked outside to meet everyone. Ray had his camera ready to take pictures. I looked as Julie walked towards me. She looked beautiful.

Luke: Wow. You look amazing Julie!

Julie: Thanks so do you.

Ray: Ok let's start with a group picture.

We took a few group photos first. Next was all the girls, then Reggie, Alex and I. After that Reggie and Kayla, Nick and Carrie and Julie and I got pictures together.

Flynn: We should probably get going.

Julie: Ok.

Ray: Have fun and stay out of trouble!

Since there wasn't enough car space for everyone and the school was close we decided to just walk to the dance. Once we arrived to the school they were 5 minutes away from letting people in. We all stood in a line outside the gym doors. 5 minutes later they opened the doors. We walked inside and walked up to a table. We set our stuff down and headed to the dance floor where everyone else was.

Kayla: Let's dance!

A song came on so we all danced along to it. I was waiting for a slow song to come on so I could dance with Julie.

Flynn: Hey weren't you guys going to perform tonight or something?

Alex: Yeah.

Reggie: We should probably do it now then.

We walked up to the front of the stage where the people were controlling the music. Of you wanted to perform you had to sign up earlier in the week. We signed up so we had to see what time slot they gave us.

Julie: We are on in 10.

Alex: have we even decided what song we are doing.

Luke: Let's just go with Edge of Great.

10 minutes passed so we walked up on stage. I grabbed a guitar while Julie sat down at the piano, Reggie got a bass and Alex sat down at the drums.

Julie: As you guys already know we are Julie and the Phantoms. We hope everyone is having a good time! This is our song called Edge of Great!

After we we finished the song people cheered for us. We got off of the stage. A slow song started playing so now was my chance.

Luke: Hey Julie want to dance?

Julie: Of course.

I held out my hand to Julie and she grabbed it. We then walked to the middle of the dance floor. I was still getting use to the fact that we could physically touch each other. I never thought we would be able to have any kind of relationship when we were ghost.

Luke: Did I tell you how beautiful you look.

Julie: You maybe mentioned it once or twice tonight. I didn't know you were such a good dancer.

Luke: Yeah I used to dance all the time with my mom when I was a kid.

Julie: Have you thought about going to see your parents. You know since now they could see you.

Luke: I think I would actually give my mom a heart attack if I did.

Julie: Well what if they found the band online?

Luke: Oh I never thought about that.

The song finished and we joined our group of friends again.

Nick: Julie could we talk?

Julie: Sure. About what?

Nick: You think we could go out into the hallway. It's a bit loud in here.

Julie: Ok. Luke I will be right back.

I watched as Nick and Julie walked out of the gym into the hallway.
