October 19th, Friday – the day I landed here.
My workmates-slash-friends na sina Louis and Rach know that I have grown tired of my job.
Fuck naman kasi. Nakakapagod nang maging software developer, especially in a mismanaged team such as itong kinabibilangan ko.
Napakawalang kwenta din kasi ng manager namin na hindi nane-negotiate ang schedule. Yes lang nang yes sa clients.
Ang ending tuloy, lagi kaming naghahabol sa schedule. At basta-basta nakakalusot ang kahit anong changes na gusto ng clients.
It's like all they ever care about is getting things done. Wala man lang planning.
Nakakainis at nakakapagod na rin, to the point na minsan mapapa-blank stare at sigh na lang ako kapag nalalaman kong mag-12 or 16-hour shifts na naman kami.
My teammates Louis and Rach can keep their cool much better than I can, and they know so well 'pag sobrang fucked up na 'ko, so they offered help. They know I've been working so hard for two years now nang halos walang leave-leave, so they planned this entire 11-day trip for me, and now I'm here. They even prepared a guide for me para hindi ako mahirapan, kasi alam na alam nila ang mga ins and outs, pati mga challenges ng isang nagta-travel, lalo na if you're doing it solo like me.
First time ko 'tong makalabas ng Pilipinas, kaya naman everything feels so new—itong airport, itong mga tao, itong lahat ng nasa paligid ko.

Ang laki pala ng airport nila, ano? At ang bongga pa. NAIA who? I only know Suvarnabhumi Airport. Haha.
Getting in was quite easy. Sinundan ko lang 'yung mga taong nakasabay ko sa plane and soon enough, my passport got its first stamp from a foreign airport. I bought a SIM card as Louis and Rach advised as soon as nakuha ko ang backpack ko from the conveyor belt.
