"i can't take this anymore colson!" you screamed, gripping the ends of your hair.
"take what? i've done nothing but love you!" he shouted back, pacing back and forth.
"no you haven't! you left me on our anniversary! you left me to pick megan up from wherever she was! what kind of boyfriend leaves their girlfriend for another girl?" you said, going a little quiet towards the end.
everything got quiet between the two of you. the only thing that was heard was both of your breathing.
"i see the way you look at her. you're whole face brightens up..just like it did with me. but i don't make you happy, she does." you whispered.
colson did nothing but look down at floor. you sighed and got up, walking to your shared bedroom to pack a bag.
grabbing the last of your things, you walked towards the front door. colson looked at you with sadness in his eyes.
"i'm sorry y/n." he said, walking towards you.
"can i just have one last hug? just so i can have something good to remember?"
he took you in his arms and you let the tears fall. he held you close as the two of you cried together.
pulling away, he looked at you before kissing you slowly. you kissed back and wrapped your arms around his neck.
"i don't want this to end. but you don't love me like you used to." you said after the two of you had pulled away.
"i'll always love you. forever and always." he said, giving you a sad smile.
you grabbed your things and walked out the door, shutting it behind you. you didn't dare look back because you knew you'd go back.
