First Impressions - Vinnie Hacker FanFic

A/N: So sorry I haven't posted in a while, my account wouldn't let me write for about a week or so. 

I wake up to my face being covered in kisses. I smile, opening my eyes to see Vinnie smiling looking down at me. "What are you doing?" I ask, rubbing my eyes as I yawn. "I just woke up about, 3 minutes ago. You're family just got here, about 4 minutes ago." I shoot up.  "No way," I grab my phone to see my phone blown up as my family tries to wake me up but my ringer was off. I shoot up to quickly put on an oversize hoodie because I just had a tank top and shorts. "How did you wake up?" "Shane, wonderful Shane, got woken up from the knocking, came to my room saying he tried to wake you but he couldn't. He said these exact words: You're girlfriend's Family, You're company too." I laugh, rolling my eyes. "Who gave him the privilege to know we kiss here and there. He doesn't shut up about us." I pull hair out of my hoodie as I pull it over my head and walk out of my room. "Mom! Dad!" I say hitting the bottom step and running to them, pulling them in a hug.

I let go of the hug "Where is Kaylee, Jason, and Carter?" I asked, wondering if they even came. "Oh, they are downstairs with this girl name Faith." My mother says and I look at Vinnie, concerned because Faith was so wasted last night. "Wait, just Faith?" I ask and My parents nod. I look at Vinnie, "Can you," he interrupts me, "Yeah I probably should," he starts to go to the basement and I sit down on the couches and my parents sit next to me. "Is Faith a good person?" My mother asks and I nod, "Oh yeah, everyone I live with is incredibly friendly and sweet. She just, she went to a party last night and drank... a little too much." My mom scoffs, "You went too?" I stay quiet as I hear a bunch of footsteps behind me. I don't turn around though because I know it's Vinnie and my siblings. "Yeah, I did go," I say, not really caring what my mom thinks. "Seriously, y/n?!" I look at my mom confused. "I didn't drink. I don't think I drank once since I've been to LA." My mom nods, "Mhm, but I'm sure you did some type of drug." I nod, "Yeah, I have, actually." My mom groans. "Seriously?!" I nod, "Mom, I did once. I am far from addicted, I hated it. Plus, my whole point of moving here was to get out there and surround myself with new people."  My mom rolls her eyes, "Probably because you live with this house now. If you were still with Jaden you probably wouldn't haven't done the drugs. I liked him a lot." My jaw drops. "Katie," My dad states, looking at my mom.

"Seriously Mom? I am telling you all these things so I can be more open and not hide things from me, and an FYI, I was with Jaden. He was the one who pressured me into smoking weed, thank you very much. This house is amazing. and, Vinnie here, actually helped me not drink at all last night. So much for moving into this house am I right?" I stand up and my mom looks at me. "I'm sorry, I just was overthinking every second of the day while you were gone and all the things I was thinking about are just spilling out." I shrug, "It's whatever I just don't understand why you would say you liked Jaden when he cheated on me and broke my heart." My mom sighs, "I know." It's silent for a few, "So what's on the agenda today?" My dad asks and I shrug. "Saddle ranch for lunch!" Vinnie suggests and I laugh,

"I don't have money like that."  Vinnie nods, "So I can pay for you guys." I shake my head, "Nice of you but no. You aren't paying for my family's meals when you don't even know them yet." He shrugs, "Yeah but they raised you so how bad could they be." I smile, "Vinnie, thank you, but you are not paying for this if I go. Sorry but not sorry." My dad looks at me, "Well, I'll just pay." I shake my head, "You'd be the last person to pay. You guys are my guest." My dad shrugs, "I tried." I laugh. "Y/n, seriously. let me pay. you are seeing your family for a day let me just let you make the best of it. Saddle Ranch is amazing and I'm sure your family would love it. Please." He looks at me and I shake my head, "I'm not taking your money."  My mother groans, "Just take it." I look at her, "Mom?" I look at her confused because...  what... the fuck? "Y/n, I'm so serious." I sigh, "I'm paying you back." He shakes his head. "I won't let you." "Y/n, can you braid my hair before we go?"  I look at Kaylee and smile. "Of course. Lets all just go to my room." My mom shakes her head, "Me and your father will sit out front, it's nicer out." My mom stands up, along with my dad and head outside.
