"Y/n!" I hear my Dad call as I just turned the shower off and wrap the towel around my body. 

"One second, I need to brush my teeth and get dressed!" I holler back and quickly grab my toothbrush and toothpaste. I begin brushing my teeth and hear a knock on my bathroom door. "Who is it?" I say in a mumbled tone since I have a toothbrush in my mouth. "Kaylee," I hear softly. "Here, come in." I turn the sink off and wrap the towel around me tighter than it was.

"Wait, do you know mom and dad's answer?" I ask spitting into the sink and washing my mouth out with water. "Yes." I nod, "So.... what is it?" She zips her lips and walks out of the bathroom. "Kay, wait! What did you want to ask?" I say looking rather than walking away, "I will ask later." I nod and grab my phone from my counter and walk out and lock my bedroom door. I get changed quickly into a cropped tank top and sweatpants. 

I walk downstairs into the living room and see my family scrolling through tik tok on the couch. 

"Hi," I say kind of nervous. 

"Hi, sweetheart." My mother says and I sit on the edge of the coffee table, facing my parents.

"Your Dad and I talked and we decided that this is a great opportunity, it really is. We would love for you to go. I mean, you had trouble meeting new people but I think this would have helped because it is tons of people your age," she starts to whisper "and a lot of cute boys," She winks and my dad shakes his head, slightly laughing. I start to get excited by her wording. 

"But," I look at my dad, my heart stopping a little. "But what?" I ask and he looks at my siblings sitting in a row to the right of him and taking my mother's hand. "We're gonna miss you."

My heart begins to race. "Wait... wait... I can go?" I stand up, excited. My parent's nod. "You spent most of your teenage years sitting inside, socially anxious. get out of here and meet new people, go to parties!" I smile and pull my mom up and hug her tightly. The rest all stand up and we all have a big group hug. 

"Alright! Go tell your boyfriend and start packing. Your dad ordered a U-Haul for tomorrow. I hope that is okay." My mom says sniffling and wiping a tear. "Don't cry!" I pull her into a quick hug and I look at my Mom and Dad. "I love you guys." I smile and run upstairs and facetime Jaden telling him everything. 

"Okay, I'll let you finish packing. See you tomorrow, baby." I get butterflies at his last sentence. See you tomorrow. "Okay, can't wait." I smile and hang up and quickly finish packing my things.

"So you finished packing?" Jason asks as I am hanging around in the kitchen as he washes dishes after we had just finished dinner. "Mhm, I just have. furniture but, can't really pack that." He nods. "Can't wait to invite Julian over so much now." He teases me about his best friend I used to have a huge huge crush on. "I have a boyfriend now, dumbass. I don't care." He shrugs, "Until you guys break up." 

It gets silent and he looks up at me, "I'm... sorry." I shrug it off, "It's okay." He turns the sink off and dries his hands. "You think you guys will be forever?" He says throwing away the paper towel. I sigh, "I hope so. Especially since I'm moving with him and his friends now." My brother nods, "What would happen if you guys did? Would you come back?" I start to think. "I mean, I already have a ton of friends there I met online just not in person yet. I'm sure I'll get close enough to a girl there or something and they'll let me move in." He nods, "Yeah," Jason says, coldly, leaving the room. I groan and Carter walks into the room.

"What's wrong?" I shrug, "I just feel like I'm messing things up here if I move there." 

"Y/n, you aren't. Mom and Dad talked to us all this morning and we all were okay with it. of course, we're upset but we all know it's the best for you and we'll get over it." I smile, "I'm gonna miss you guys too." My eyes tear and I hug him.

"Everything will work out." He says, grabbing a soda and leaving the room. I take a deep breath and go into my room.

I text Jaden for a while and then end up going to bed.
