Arthit, with his hopeful eyes, stared straight Kongpob's obviously caught off guard ones. Silence prevailed in the corners of their bedroom. The pale man started regretting his own words. Why isn't he answering? Does he think we're going too fast? But he's already my fiancé right? We'll still lead to marriage right? Stupid Arthit. Why would you ask him to marry you? tomorrow? Mentally slapping himself, Arthit takes a deep breath and closes the last button himself. Feeling sad and dejected, the other still hasn't said anything. He felt like crying. Does he regret being with me now?
"I-" Arthit says, his voice cracking from nervousness. He looks down at his feet and decides that he should go let the other man digest what he suddenly blurted out.
"I gonna go- oomf—" looking up, he didn't expect Kongpob to suddenly pull him to the bed and kiss him senseless. Their tongues fighting for sheer dominance. A lone tear escapes from the corner of Arthit's eye, he was so afraid. Pulling away to breathe in the much needed air. Kongpob straddles on top of Arthit, resting his forehead against the latter's.
"I was considering asking you later while eating breakfast, but I was afraid that you're not ready yet." Kongpob confesses. Both their eyes still closed as they catch their breaths.
"Idiot." Arthit playfully hits Kongpob's shoulder and was now unable to stop his tears from flowing.
"Aw, what was that for?" Kongpob whines, acting like he was badly hurt. He cups Arthit's face with his hands and wipes off the tears on the soft cheeks.
"You stupid idiot. I was so scared, I thought you didn't want to marry me anymore." Arthit says, tilting his head to the side, he holds onto the back of Kong's hands and hides himself.
"Baby, why the hell would you think that?" Kongpob tries to remove his own hands from the gorgeous face but Arthit refused to let go.
"Because you froze like a fucking statue! I only asked you a question and you seemed like you saw a ghost." Arthit says, his words almost indistinguishable from being muffled by the hands over his face.
Kongpob sighs and coaxes the other to remove the hands from his face but never dared to forcefully remove them as he was afraid he'll hurt the other boy.
"Arthit, baby, look at me." Kongpob coos, rubbing his nose on the back of the pale hands because his own hands were still stuck on Arthit's face. Placing a soft kiss on the said hands, Kongpob calls for his lover again.
"Come on now, baby, please. Look at me."
Though with a little hesitance, Arthit softens his grip on Kongpob's hands, releasing them. Then the man on top of him softly tugs on his wrists, making them shoo away from the flushed-wet from tears face.
"What?" Arthit asks directly, his eyes directed to the side. His lips forming a cute pout that was too irresistible for the other. Kongpob couldn't help himself but place a kiss on them, making Arthit pout even more.
"Who told you you can kiss me?!" Arthit exclaims, hiding his face again but now only with his own hands. Kongpob chuckles at his sulking lover then removes the pale hands once again, pinning them on each side of Arthit's head.
"Listen to me baby, I was just surprised okay? As I told you earlier, I was supposed to ask you the same question over breakfast. Though almost not the same, but hey, it has the same aim."
Arthit knits his eyebrows at Kongpob's statement. What?
"Huh? What do you mean almost not the same but also the same but not really? Wha–"
"Marry me today?" Kongpob cuts off. Arthit shuts up, his whole face rather turning into a tomato at how red he was. The butterflies in his stomach doing random dances and exhibitions. Well that was unexpected for him, to say at least.
Though not soon after, a huge smile breaks into his face. Washing off the almost nervous expression of the man straddling on top of him. Who said two can't play this game? He put both of his hands at the back of Kongpob's neck and pulls him for a kiss. Sweet, loving, and sincere. That's what it felt like for the both of them. Arthit pulls out first then looks straight into Kongpob's eyes. Dark onyx eyes piercing into his brown ones.
"Come on, let's go get married." Arthit finally replies, making Kongpob feel like the happiest being.
Kongpob then quickly gets his from from inside his pocket then makes a quick message. He then stands up from his position, reaching out a hand to help Arthit get up also. They head out to the mansion's garden where most of their friends were already waiting around a table that was being served with food by servants.
"Why are you guys here?" Arthit asks as they walk near the group. Kongpob, as always, has pulled out a chair for him to sit on then sat next to him. The pale boy looks at their friends with confusion.
"What? Can't we eat breakfast with you guys? And also.. We couldn't possibly miss our friends' wedding; right?" Pete asks, placing a few dishes on Kao's plate. Arthit nods in understanding.
Not long after, Khai comes and sits down along with the group.
"I already texted the organizers, they'll come here in about an hour and fix the place, then we'll have the little wedding this afternoon." He explains, filling up his own plate with food.
"That's great to hear. What about the guests? Have you guys contacted Third and the others?" Kongpob asks, busy with choosing out the vegetables Arthit doesn't eat and putting them on his own plate.
Kao nods, chewing and gulping down his food before he starts speaking.
"I've already told everyone that someone will pick them up."
Kongpob turns his head to his soon to be husband. Arthit smiles at him sweetly.
"You excited?" The tanned man asks, placing his hand on top of Arthit's, caressing the soft pale hands. Arthit nods at him eagerly. Kongpob picks up his hand then places a soft kiss on top of it.
"Just imagine how clingy they would be once they get married." Khai interjects, soft laughs leaving his mouth as he shakes his head. Arthit blushes at his remark, Kongpob only rolls his eyes.
Kongpob: "Rather than using your time on being bitter about being 'single', it would be better if you use it on soothing and courting Third."
Khai: "You don't have to remind me, it's pretty much what I do everyday when you're not bossing me around."
Kong: "I'm literally your boss, hello? I own the company."
Pete: "Still don't get how you get to be the boss, you don't even go to the company every fucking day."
Kongpob rolls his eyes.
Kong: "Well if you want to switch jobs with me, I'd gladly give mine to you."
Pete contemplates for a while. Going around different company branches, more stacks of paperwork, having to meet up with clients and business partners...
Pete: "Nah, ain't worth it. I still love and enjoy going to the office so I can go fuck my husband on top of his table."
Kao who was silently drinking water almost chokes at his husbands statement; once he regains his composure, he throws Pete a death glare then grabs the said boy's ear. Khai, Kongpob, and Arthit only laughs at their friend whose ear is being pulled by his husband.
Turning his head to his lover, Arthit sees Kongpob looking at him lovingly with a sweet smile plastered on his face. Arthit intertwines their fingers and leans his head on Kongpob's shoulder. Laughing and interjecting his own jokes every now and then at his friends who are still animatedly bickering with each other. He felt happy and satisfied like that.
