OKAY!
So I just want to say that I think I almost got scammed. So I got a notification in my inbox. It was from a username that I'm not going to name. Anyways, the email said that they read over my story and thought it was good writing material and offered me something in their website, 'w e b n o v e l'.
They said they want me to showcase my 'novel' on their website.
OK. Let me point out that they said that they 'wanted to showcase my novel'. First of all, if they privately messaged me and actually read the story, they would've known that this book isn't a novel. It more of a... umm... fanfiction/reaction book? I don't know.
Anyways, they told me to download that app of theirs in the app store. I got suspicious so I searched up the website, 'w e b n o v e l'. And what I found shocked me. It immediately showed a website called, 'Watch Out for These Top Internet Scams'!!!
I clicked that link and read over it. It showed a popular scam which was an email that had a certain link in the email for you to click! That's what I got!!!! BRUH!!! I ALMOST GOT SCAMMED!!!!
(Ok. Ima just admit though, even though they probably didn't actually mean it, I was flattered when I read that they thought my writing was good!!! But onto the point!)
If you see something like that, don't trust it. Especially if it wasn't from Wattpad itself. I just wanna make sure that you peeps know. I'm not sure if this is an actually scam because I still need to do my research. But I immediately blocked the username and deleted the conversation. IT WAS SKETCHY! 😭😭😭
