Finally, after a long first day of school it was time to go home. My memory had to kick in, so I don't get lost like last time and spider-man won't always be there to help me. I successfully after some wrong turns here and there I got home. My parents had gone out for a bit, and it was only me and my brothers home. My teacher gave me less homework because it was a new subject and the class had already learned some things about it.It was 5:17pm and the sun had slowly started to set. My brother needed some help with his homework and I obviously agreed to help. He always tried to understand my school stuff, but he never did. It made me smile and warm to my heart. He needed help with biology and I knew quite some stuff in that subject in particular. The door to his room opened a bit and I saw our dad take a look at us. He didn't smile, but I knew that he didn't have anything to tell me because I was helping Ian, and he liked it.
He finally left without a word, and it felt like a rock was lifted off my shoulders. I took a breath in that I didn't know I was holding, and I felt better. Ian was looking at me and I could even sense his eyes on me. I truly didn't want him to worry, so I turned around to look at him and flashed a smile his way.
Ian gave me a smile back, but he understood my relationship withe me and our dad. To be honest, it wasn't the best as you can see. I finished helping him do his homework and went back to my room to rest.
My room wasn't fully finished, and I decided to do something about it. I put on my headphones and played my favorite song. Boxes were spread across my room and clothes were still in my suitcase, so got on with the work. After some time passed I heard a knock on my door, so I went to open it. It was my mom.
"Hey sweetie. Dinner is going to be ready soon. You should come and help me set the table. " She said. "Oh, and we will redecorate the whole apartment tomorrow. We will invite one of the neighbor's, ugh... What was her-- right! May and her son over to help." She finished and gestured to come.
"Mom. May is Peter's aunt." I corrected her, but like always she didn't pay attention to my words. I followed behind her in to the kitchen and helped her set the table.
Time skip: next morning.
My annoyingly loud alarm clock went off at 6:20am, and I was not in the mood to getup. Mornings weren't one of my strong sides and I definitely didn't enjoy it at all. But unfortunately I had to get my ass up because school was important.
My phone lit up, and I saw a message from...
Omg! Olivia. I almost forgot about her. I'm such a horrible friend.
"Hi girl. What are you doing lately? Haven't heard from you in ages."
I felt bad for not contacting her. My mind these last days was going crazy and I completely forgot to tell her how was the tip here.
"Nothing much but I'll fill you in after school."
I got my courage to get up from my bed and slid in to my slippers. My hair was like a birds nest up there and my vision wasn't focused yet. Sun shone through my window brutally at my face, and I was thankful that it was a good morning, because my dad would not drive me.
As I was walking to school, I stopped at a small shop to buy myself lunch for school. I didn't feel like standing in that long line today and I wanted something different to eat.
At school:
Today was pretty simple and easy until the English teacher wanted to just drop an essay for the next English class and that didn't make me any happy at all. I was good at mostly all subject, but I just didn't like writing essay.
Katie and I decided to eat outside today because it was a sunny day, and she had her food with her already like me. She's a super sweet girl and I think that if she met Olivia they would get along pretty easily.
We walked around the schools campus and I ate an apple, while Katie ate her homemade cookies. They were backed from heaven, and it was the best cookie I've ever tasted.
The lunch had ended, and I noticed that Peter saw us, so he ran up to us.
"H-hey Y/N. I was kind of wondering if you would like walking home together. I mean you don't have to if you don't want to though?" He was a blushed mess, and he looked nervous as ever. So I decided to tease him. I took this long pause, and he was almost going to turn around, but then I answered him.
"Yeah. Totally I'm down for that." I answered with a smirk and his whole mood change. First he was happy as a puppy but then stress came over him. "Oh. C-cool. Umm. I'll meet you outside then." He answered and left off to class.
Kate was smiling from ear to are at me,"you still think he doesn't have a crush on you?". I just slightly hit her on a shoulder jokingly. She laughed and we walked to class together.
The last class felt like it was going forever, and it killed you. Why was I nervous and for what I was nervous? Its just Peter. We will just walk home like classmates we are. Nothing else. So then why was my nerves getting the best of me.
I saw Peter waiting for me outside, so I came up to him, "Hi. You read to go?" I asked him and I didn't know that he was zoned out for a bit. So when I asked him he jumped a bit. He silently nodded and we started to walk.
At first, it was awkward, and we didn't have anything to talk about, but then he asked "so why did you move here? Not that it's any of my business." He asked awkward.
"Well may parent lost their job a time ago and got offered one in New York, so out of nowhere they just announced that we are moving here. ''Not that they would actually care about my opinion." I said the last part quietly to myself, but Peter picked it up on. He didn't mention anything about it and I mentally thanked him for that."Oh. Well do you like it here at least?"he asked, and he hoped that would and from what I've seen so far, I do "So far yeah. I mean here are dangerous people at night but overall it's beautiful. And you still haven't shown me the tour around the city." I smiled at him, and he looked sorry that he didn't, but he still has all the time to do it. I won't be going everywhere.
"Yeah, sorry about that. Plans came up and they were urgent and at the last second." He was more relaxed now. "So, I don't know if you heard, but my parents invited May and you to help up decorate our apartment if you would like." You said.
"No, May didn't tell me yet, but I think she would love it. And I would like to help if you would want me to be there." He said with a teasing smirk.
Did Peter Parker really just said that????
"The more help we can get the better. And yeah, I would like you to be there." You said giggling a bit and smiling.
"Ok. The most important question I will ever ask you. Ok ready? Have you seen Star Wars?" He asked with a serious expression.
You laughed. "That's the serious question? I mean... I haven't but---." He cut you off playing." No. No way. Ok we are definitely watching it sometime. I promise you that no matter what." He laughed and we finally got to the apartment. He walked me up to my floor, "see you at 4:00pm?" I asked. "Definitely." He smiled and walked away.
I turned around and walked in smiling, but my little brother was on the couch and saw me grinning like a child. "What are you smiling at?" He said with a smile himself
"I- ugh. Nothing!" I headed to my room stepping some steps faster, and I plopped down on my bed.
