*Marinette's POV*

I crawled up into my bed and started bawling. When did I become like the rumors? Why am I such a jerk to everyone? I guess I really am a pathetic, worthless bitch.

I heard a knock on my trapdoor and I pretended to sleep while squinting at it.

"Marinette, honey, are you okay up there?" I didn't answer, so Mom came in and saw me. She turned off my lamp on my desk, whispered what I assumed was a 'goodnight', and went back downstairs.

I climbed down the ladder, went to the bathroom, and pulled out my razor blade. I held it above my skin, staring at it. Should I? Or shouldn't I? How the hell do I know?

"Marinette!" Oh no, Tikki can float through the door! I quickly shoved the blade into a drawer and opened the door.

I pretended to be half asleep.

"Yeah, Tikki?"

"Nothing, just checking on you."

"I'm okay. There's no need. Go back to sleep, Tikki."

"Alright, Marinette, just be careful, okay? I don't want you to slip and fall."

"Okay, okay, I will! Just go to sleep."

"Okay, good night, Marinette."

"Good night, Tikki!"

I turned off the light, closed the door, and went to lay in bed.
