A/N Sorry it took so long to update, I had a bad case of writer's block and/or procrastination.

"Marinette! Marinette, you better get out of bed right this instant, before I drag you out of bed myself! Your mom could come up here any minute now and you don't need her chewing you out for being late to school, do you? And besides, if you don't get out of bed this instant, you will get dete-"

"Ugggghhhhh, I'm up. And besides, Tikki, you're too weak to drag me out of bed, so get lost, punk!" I grumbled. I heard Tikki sniffle and when I looked over, Tikki was sobbing silently. "Oh, Tikki, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry! I was just a little mad because I'm tired. Now, what time is it, BFF Tikki?"

"Oh, it's 7:55."

"WHAT?!?!?! Oh, man, I better get ready and out the door! I don't want detention! I guess that all those all-nighters I pulled for patrol are finally catching up to me."

I jumped off my bed, and when I tried to land on my feet, I ended up falling on my side and bruising my arm. Oh, well. At least it saved me an extra minute of climbing down the ladder. I ran over to my closet, grabbed what I thought was my usual outfit, and rushed into the bathroom. After I got changed, I ripped my brush through my hair like there was no tomorrow. as soon as I removed most of the snarls, I threw the brush at the counter and ran downstairs. "Honey, why are you wearing a grey sweatshirt with your brand new navy blue sweatpants I bought you?" Mom asked.

"Wait a sec, I am?" I looked down at my clothes and realized I was. "Dang it! Well, it's too late now. Bye Mom! Bye Dad!" I said quickly as I rushed out the door, not even getting breakfast. "Ummmmm, goodbye?" I could practically hear the perplexed look on Mom's face. I zipped through the school and walked into class a split second before the bell rang.

"Sorry, I woke up late so I didn't really have time to get ready."

"That's fine. Get to your seat." Ms. Bustier told me.

"Umm, girl, what the heck are you wearing?" Alya whispered.

"Oh, I wasn't looking at what I grabbed out of my closet and accidentally grabbed this because I slept in until like 7:55 today a-"

"Marinette, do you have something to share with the class?"

"No, Ms. Bustier."

"Alright, then be quiet please."

"Whew. That was a close one." Alya whispered.

"Marinette, you look beautiful with your hair down, you should have it down more." Adrien told me.

"Thanks." I turned away. I didn't need to deal with Adrien's drama today.

"Yup. Now you BETTER be quiet or we could both get in trouble."

"I know. Did you sleep in because of all those nights working as Ladybug?"

"Shhh, we can't talk about that at school!"

"Talk about what?" a certain blonde who broke my heart into a million pieces said.

"Oh. Adrien. It's nothing." I said coldly. Alya slapped her forehead with her hand.

*Adrien's POV*

"-s Ladybug" Alya said. My ears perked up as I heard the name of the love of my life.

"Shhh, we can't talk about that at school!"

"Talk about what?" I asked, extremely curious.

"Oh. Adrien. It's nothing." Marinette said coldly. Alya slapped her forehead with her hand.

"Are you ok, Marinette? Ever since yesterday at lunch, every single time I've tried to talk to you,  you just brush me off and walk away."

"I'm just fine."

"Are you sure?" Mari just ignored me. Darn it! I was hoping that maybe Marinette would stop with the "I don't care about anything" act and go back to her normal, adorable self.

Wait.

Where did that come from?

Ugh, I can't think like that. Marinette's just a friend! Oh well. I had better start paying attention in class because of the test in a few weeks.

"Hey dude, you ok? You don't look to good." Nino asked.

"I'm ok, just thinking."

"Thinking about Marinette?"

"Yes. Wait, I mean no I'm not, no not at all!"

"Oh, my poor little cinnamon bun." Alya said.

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean? I'm far from a cinnamon bun!"

"Oh, really?" Alya snickered. Why are girls so complicated? Whatever. I should start focusing on my schoolwork or I could fail that test.

*Timeskip to the end of the day in Adrien's room*

I pulled out a few pieces of Camembert and walked over to my desk to set them down "Plagg, you'r cheese is ready!" I looked over and it was already gone.

"Plagg, you're such a pig!"

"No, I'm not! I'm on a diet where I must eat 3 wheels of Camembert per day, doctor's orders!"

"And what doctor did you get those orders from, exactly?"

"Oh, um, well, umm, I, uh, I got them from, umm... Master Fu! Yeah, I totally got them from Master Fu!"

"Whatever, you say Plagg. Whatever you say." I sat in my desk chair and turned on all 4 of my monitors, staring at all the pictures of Mother and reminiscing about the good times when Mother was still around. I then pulled up my research on who Ladybug is under the mask. I've narrowed it down to Choe, Alya, and Marinette. I wonder who the most amazing girl in the world is, with her beautiful midnight blue hair, soft, peach skin, and her lush, pink lips. Someday, I will find out who she really is, and then, and only then, will I propose to her. Then we'll have 3 kids and live on our private island and eat nothing but fruit and live in our own happily eve- knock knock knock. Ugh, who is knocking on my door at 11 pm? "Adrien. It's time for bed." Father's assistant Nathalie scolds me. "Yes, Nathalie." How the heck did she know I was awake? I turned off my computer, got into my Ladybug-themed pajamas, and got into bed.

"Good night, Plagg."

"Good night, Adrien. You had better sleep through the night because I'm too tired for you to wake me up until morning."

"Oh, fine!"
