Side Note: From this chapter and onwards was mainly for my own enjoyment. I wanted to mainly test out how I would write some of these scenes so even though they are in the story, they are not as critical as the previous chapters. Although this is so, I hope you've enjoyed the story and will give these chapters a try. - Georgia

Waking up the nextmorning we had the funeral for Pentecost and Chuck.

"Stacker Pentecost and Charles Hansenwere fierce warriors. Stacker being calm, making sure everything is on pointand that everyone knew all possible outcomes. Charles however was level-headedand would rather act then think later. Now I would like to welcome KristenIvory to say a few words about both of these fallen rangers." Tendo handed thecrowd to me as I stood. My back was a little sore still, thankfully thoughRaleigh was helping me out. Getting in front of everyone my hands began to shack as I spoke.

"MarshalStacker Pentecost and Ranger Charles Hansen are two warriors who will bemissed. Not only where they my partners and leaders but I did know them on amore personal level. Stacker was my adoptive father and took me and my youngersister Josie under his wing and raised us as if his own. I will return toJosie, but Stacker also took in my other sister Mako Mori. No matter how harshor cruel Stacker turned out to be to everyone while working, he was a big softywhen he was with me and my sisters. He also has been dealing with emotions allhis life and he has been very good, no, extremely good at hiding them. StackerPentecost blamed himself for the death of his parents, sister and youngestadoptive daughter. I told Stacker before my first fight alongside Raleigh thatI didn't blame him. There is still many things I wish I had of told him, butalas I cannot. Charles, or Chuck on the other hand is a completely differentstory. Yes, I never got along with him. We always argued or disagreed but wedid have one thing in common. And that was loving my sister. Only a few daysago while telling the story of my sister to my partner, did I remember the lastwords she said to me. These words included that she accepted a proposal. Thisproposal was made by Chuck, for he wanted to spend the rest of his life with mysister, Josie. Now they can finally live out that dream, together, whereverthey may be. I would like to conclude with this. Although I was adopted by oneand fought with the other, doesn't begin to explain how much of an impact theyhad on my life...and how big a hole they will leave in my heart." I finished as atear cold and slow fell down my face. Over this pass week, being with Raleigh, talking with and about Pentecost, talking about my sister...I have never criedmore then what I have since Raleigh has come. I take this as a good thing for Ihad a lot bottled up and trapped inside me. After hearing the faint, slowclaps, I passed it to the next person. Raleigh. I waited by so he could help mewalk, but even as he finished and Tendo took over, Irealised something. Everyone was pretty much saying the same stuff but in adifferent way. Well, I guess that's what happens at funerals. Once Herc came upthough, everyone was turned on to hear what he had to say. He lost his son, theonly family he had left. His words where quite beautiful and full of emotionthat I don't think I have the heart to explain. After the speeches where donewe did a minute silence and then everyone had to head to the cafeteria for foodand drinks. As everybody got up and headed down, I was pulled from the finalhallway, ready to enter the room. When I looked to see who pulled me away, I wasn'tthat surprised. "What's up?" I questioned Raleigh as heldmy hand. I was wondering where he was because he was supposed to help me walk, thankfully I was nearly able and now probably able to do it myself.

"Well, I need to give you something..." he said. I looked to him, strangelywhen he suddenly digged his hand into his pocket and pulled out a small, simple ring. "It wouldn't be a proper proposal if I didn't get you one." I then brought him into a tight hug as I let out a sigh.

"You're so silly. I don't need a ring." I said as I released him. He just shook his head slightly.

"I don't think you understand. This ring," he held it up along with my left hand, "was my mothers. She died from cancer. She was supposed to give this ring to my brother because he was older. Due to what happened I had to take it. Now, I want you to have it." He then slid it onto my finger and I felt an odd tingle rush though my body as it touched my cold skin. Looking up to him, I gave him one last hug and then we both decided to go to the cafeteria. Heading over to Tendo, Herc and Mako we took a seat next to each other. As we sat down, I went to grab a tray of food when Tendo grabbed my wrist.

"What's that on your finger?" he questioned. I then mentally slapped myself in the head. Did I really just use my left hand? Raleigh then placed a hand on Tendo's shoulder.

"Well, before we left for the Breach I asked Kristen to marry me." He explained. Everyone's mouths seemed to have fallen to the table at Raleigh's words. Pulling my hand away, I gave a nervous laugh. Mako then wrapped her arms around me. I understood that this was her way of congratulations for she was still upset about everything that just happened. Tendo then jumped up onto the table, knocking many trays of food causing Herc to get a little mad for the potatoes tray was one of the following.

"Hey, everyone!" he addresses. Seconds snapped by as everyone's heads turned to see what Tendo had to say. "Raleigh and Kristen are getting married!" cheers then came form the tables and Raleigh wrapped his arm around me, kissing my temple as Tendo continued. "Now, everyone needs to help plan for the wedding will be next week. Starting tomorrow, everyone, and I mean everyone has to help." Tendo finished and everyone applauded again. Was Tendo really serious. Raleigh and I just told Herc, Mako and him and he wants us to get married next week! Like I said, one of the best people you will ever meet...
