"Why the hell haven't you answered anyone's calls or texts?" Kiya exclaimed as soon as Charlie answered the phone the next morning.

"Kiya, I really don't want to talk about it." Was all that Charlie replied with, although she knew the blue-haired girl was definitely going to push, especially since the only person that Charlie talked to that night was Trystan up until the point to where she went home - which was way past midnight to avoid Renfrow showing up to her house late at night, and she didn't feel comfortable staying the night at Trystan's house considering she was still in a relationship with Ren.

Trystan had even offered to take up the floor, or even one of the free bedrooms upstairs, but she still declined his offer. She just didn't feel right, considering she didn't want to have that guilty conscience even though she knew she wasn't cheating and she would never in a million years cheat on Renfrow. Her intentions with Ren clearly weren't the same as his, and at least with the ending of this relationship she can leave it with a clean conscience.

"What the fuck, Charlotte? You had everyone worried sick, especially Renfrow!" Kiya exclaimed. It was rare for Kiya to act this way, so it was obvious that she was tired of the way Charlie was acting. But Charlie couldn't help but roll her eyes at the sudden mention of Ren and how he was so worried about her.

"Oh, I'm sure he was." Charlie smugly replied, causing the other line to be silent for a moment.

"Charlie," A deeper voice was now heard on the other line, the voice obviously belonging to Mikey. "Did something happen that you're not telling us about?"

"Yeah, actually. It did. Something did happen, and I'm quite not over it, and so I'm sorry if I scared you guys. Just know I didn't talk to anyone and it wasn't in my intention to hurt anyone by that. But I'm not ready to talk about it." Charlie answered, looking at herself in the mirror as she made sure she looked okay for the day.

That technically wasn't a lie, as she wasn't ready to talk to anyone about it. Yeah, she had talked to Trystan, but that was when she'd broke down about it and right after breaking down about it she'd heard the girl on the other line, so of course she opened up to him about it. And surprisingly enough, Trystan was easy to talk to. She didn't expect to talk to him, it just happened. And he'd opened up to her beforehand, which was probably what made it so easy for her to open up to him about Ren. She didn't open up to anyone else, not even her mother who happened to be home this morning.

One person she did need to talk to whether she wanted to or not, was Ren. She wasn't looking forward to it, but she knew it was going to happen whether it was sooner or later. It was just going to depend on whenever they crossed paths because she didn't intend on finding him that day.

"So you're not okay?" Mikey then asked.

"No, I'm not." Charlie felt tears begin to build in her eyes, but remembered she was wearing mascara and she didn't want to look like a raccoon going to school that day. She stood with her eyes closed for a second, breathing in and out deeply before speaking again. "But I will be. I just- I gotta go."
