Next day started with the glowing appearance of Sun God, reflecting that glow over each face, making them smile with it's first touch. But dau was serious after last night, and the reason was initiated by Vasudev's narration.

It's not that he was unknown about the tough phrases through which kunti had passed. It's not the first time for him to see Vasudev emotional regarding his sister. He too had condolence for his paternal aunt's loss.

But this time all these had touched his heart too sensitively. Because he was going to be a brother, brother of a sister for whom he had longed, whose imagination had gifted him a smile each time, whose thoughts had sparked a new spirit of life in him. He can't even imagine her pale face whereas Vasudev's sadness about Kunti's fate had disturbed dau with the fact that each life has pain, more or less, budding it's existence near or far.

Kanha was well aware of dau's heart. But he chose to be silent as the matter was complicated. He decided to make dau realise the right rather than convincing him. Like this three days passed. Kanha was missing dau's smile, his teasing, his excitement over their upcoming happiness, their ladli.

In these three days Kanha had made Goddess Saraswati's idol. On the fourth day he was painting the idol, and dau stood near the idol covering it with a chatra (umbrella like protection) so that intense sun rays won't soak the paint harshly, making shades of paint look less presentable than the standard level.

"Dau, don't look at idol

"Dau, don't look at idol. Be attentive about your task," Kanha told to dau who was admiring the movement of paint brush giving finishing touch to the eyebrows of Goddess Saraswati.

"Dau, sun rays are approaching nearer. Bend the chatra more," Dau nodded at Kanha obeying his words.

"Dau, don't look at idol. Your focus should be concentrated somewhere else," Kanha told designing nose pin of Goddess.

"Why aren't you letting me look at idol, Kanha? I am holding the chatra properly. Protecting the idol from sun rays is my responsibility, not my burden to be loaded with that I can't take out few moments to look at idol," Dau huffed in annoyance making Kanha turn towards him with a smile.

"Finally you realised that there's difference in between responsibility and making yourself loaded with that as a burden," Kanha's words appeared as a riddle to dau.

"What do you mean?" Dau asked in deep confusion.

"What were you doing in these days, Dau? Being an elder brother is a responsibility. But hadn't you made that a burden for yourself being engrossed in a possibility, possibility of existence of pain in our ladli's life?" Dau was looking at Kanha without blinking eyes.

"Possibility isn't life, Dau. Life should follow hopes, that too not build in air, but being associated with reality. Ignoring the pleasure of present moment in front of the worries of future isn't going to receive any worth," Kanha told looking straight into dau's eyes.

"I am sorry, Kanha. I was misleaded," Dau apologized making Kanha let out a watery chuckle.

"You know you had missed the opportunities to reciprocate mata's smile with yours in these three days. You used to take care of mata with a heavy heart, not wholeheartedly. You had sided the scope of enjoyment when mata had thrown tantrums, when she had caressed your hairs tenderly. You had made great loss to yourself," Kanha's voice was chocked stating about the moments when he had missed dau with his real self.

"I am really sorry, Kanha. I promise I won't repeat this mistake in my whole life time," Dau embraced Kanha tightly.

"You had made me lonely. A mere sorry can't compensate my grief," Sensing playfulness in Kanha's tone dau broke the hug.

"So, what do you want, my naughty?" Dau asked raising one eyebrow.

"I want to have two rounds of garden being loaded on your back," Dau laughed over Kanha's innocent yet not so innocent wish.

He bent down a bit allowing Kanha ride on his back. Kanha back hugged dau like a small kid encircling his arms around dau's neck.

"Dau, I am ready. Let's start," Dau took two rounds holding Kanha on his back.

"Dau, I think you need to have food well," Kanha told after getting down.

"Why? What happened?" Dau asked moving eyes over his body.

"Because you were huffing while carrying me. It means your strength isn't like before," Kanha laughed covering his mouth.

"Then let me show my strength to you," Saying so dau started to chase Kanha who was running happily.

"Our each action will leave a strong imprint on our ladli's personality as we are here to make Vasant Panchami special for her. So, no violence, Dau!" Saying so Kanha smiled mischievously.

Dau admired his smile as he had missed that. They completed painting the idol as Panchami had just one day left after that day, kept the idol to get dry for sometimes, and left for lunch.
