(Mio POV)

Taking a seat on my bed, I turn to a scroll resting by my pillow. Opening it up, I begin to skim over the words taking in the information. "Mio?" I hear the soothing voice of Mikoto and look up. She stands by the door with her arms loosely by her sides. "I'm going out, can you watch Sasuke?" she questions.

'Uhh...alright,' I sign hesitantly.

"Thanks, I'll just get him," she smiles turning gracefully with her thick, black locks swaying softly behind her. I listen to her light footsteps as her heels tap lightly against the wooden floors.

Moments later, she reenters my room with a happy toddler in her arms. "Mio!" he smiles reaching out for me.

"I'll be back in an hour, just watch him," she states, pushing the child into my arms, forcing me to drop my scroll and support the child standing on my lap. "Thanks again Mio," she smiles and I nod instinctively, watching her exit my room and head for the stairs.

"Mio!" Sasuke grins, gripping my shoulders and attempting to shake them to gain my attention. I turn and a cute little giggle erupts from the child. I smile warmly and stand up, carrying him gently in my arms.

I exit my room and walk down the corridor, heading to his room. I slide his door open and switch the light on. I then place him down and he walks to the center of the room. I watch him take a seat on the ground and I walk to the center of the room. I check there are no toys beneath me, before taking a seat in front of the child. I look down, seeing many toys around me, as his entire room is covered with random toys, here and there.

In all honesty, his room is rather clean for a child his age. Not that I'm surprised the entire Uchiha house is spotless in comparison to a normal house. Not a speck of dust anywhere, the dishes always shine and the beds are always made. It's like walking in a house for sale, everything perfect, in order to stop you from doubting the quality. The head of the Uchiha clans house is nowhere near the status of poor.

The whole house looks as if there was a permanent maid here for every second of the day. Which technically, there is. Mikoto is like a maid, constantly cleaning, cooking and watching the kids. She is nothing short of amazing and I just don't think anyone notices it.

Although my mother's house was huge, after all we lived in a castle, we had at least three maids per room. Even with the crazy amount of maids, the house always had mess somewhere with my siblings and I always mucking about. No one could keep up with us and all the animals we let in the castle. The maids worked so hard, but no matter what, they were never able to keep the entire house spotless for even a moment.

Mikoto works hard and the fact that she can keep it clean twenty-four, seven is incredible, yet no one understands such a feat.

Personally, I never thought cleaning would be that hard, nor do I think highly of it. I think anyone can clean and all that, but the feat is the dedication Mikoto has to it and her ability to keep it that way. Many people would grow irritated by the monotonous days and would lose interest, yet Mikoto stays devoted to the task and that's admirable. She enjoys it and keeps at her best everyday, never slacking off, that's what I see as a feat.

I notice Sasuke trying to grab a toy, just inches from his reach. His fingertips brush the edge of the soft teddy but doesn't quite grasp it and he pouts, his eyes watering and ready to pour. I keep an emotionless expression as I grab the teddy and pass it the child, he takes it and smiles looking down at the colourful item in his hands.

I watch over the Uchiha silently as he plays with the many stuffed animals around his room, listening to his soft giggles and coo's.

I met my squad today and things did not go how I hoped. Our Sensei was completely and utterly full of himself, he showed disrespect to all of my team members. First telling Sara what her hobbies should be, then scolding Chimon about his hair and then mocking me for using sign language. I don't even know if he understood sign language and I think he was jealous of such a young child becoming a shinobi.
