(Mio POV)

A shrill scream tears through the forest around me, pulling my attention away from the crystal blue lake shining in the moonlight. That scream. It belonged to Sara, something's not right. I abruptly stand from my squatted position and wipe my wet hands on my pants, drying them quickly. I need to find Sara quickly, what if they got attacked?

Turning, I break into a run and bolt through the dark brunswick trees towering over me, I activate my Byakugan to see easily through the dark, shadowy night. The forest has fallen into a strange silence, too silent even for night time. Using my dojutsu, I spot many chakra's surrounding our campsite and pick up the pace. I leap quickly into one of the tree's and dart between branches, gaining precious time. I watch as the unfamiliar chakra's dance around my team and the Nobel man, we're protecting.

Those extra chakra's are way too strong to be ordinary criminals, they feel like a Jounin's chakra. This isn't a C-ranked it's higher. Did the Hokage know this was going to happen? Did Danzo know this was going to happen? Did they plan this to test me, no they wouldn't intentionally push inexperienced shinobi on to a battle field they couldn't survive on, right?

I deactivate my dojutsu and pounce down in front of the Nobel man, using a kunai to deflect an incoming blade. I peer over my shoulder checking the man for injuries, before ducking at the enemies approaching fist. I turn my gaze back to the action, moving into a fighting stance with my kunai at the ready.

The enemy unsheathes his sword and pulls it over his head, aiming it downwards quickly in an attempt to wound my shoulder. Almost instantly I move, barely missing the speedy attack and ripping the sleeve of my shirt. I watch the piece of black clothing float through the air and my eyes widen slightly at the action. That was to close for comfort.

Taking a step forwards I step on his toes and he flinches back, taking the opportunity I step forwards again. I quickly attack his torso with my blade, managing to lacerate the flesh of his stomach forcing him to double over in agony. Wasting no time I make my next move, using the palm of my hand to upper cut his chin, forcing him to recline his neck. I throw my blade and it impales his shoulder, then I kick him in the stomach and wait for him to drop to his knees, before knocking him out using the pressure point in the back of his neck.

Silver light shines out of the corner of my cherry red orbs as an incoming blade gleams in the moonlight. I step back rapidly and watch as the blade swoops past my face, scraping the tip of my nose and shredding the ends of my violet bangs off. I face the source of the weapons action and find a smirking woman, she readies her next weapon and charges in my direction.

I quickly glance over to the Nobel man, assuring his safety once more before ducking and sliding my leg under my opponents feet. She stumbles to the ground and I quickly grab her wrists, pulling them tightly behind her. I force her into a kneeling position and stab a kunai into the back of her shoulder, forcing a painful groan from her lips. Releasing her, I knock her out the same way I knocked her team member out previously and gaze quickly over our campsites new found battle field.

I count ten enemies altogether and my team of three including myself, which isn't right because there was four of us. Riku is no where to be seen, not to my surprise. He works under Danzo, he's most likely hiding someone and watching me, gathering information for Danzo.

I side step as a fist rips through the air beside my face, the force sending a cold breeze of wind across my skin. I side glance as the attacker steps forwards coming inline with me and attempts another punch at my side. I turn and catch the fist, looking up at the dark haired man who grins maliciously at me.
