(Mio POV)
"So, how does it feel to successfully complete your first mission as chunin?" Shisui questions from his couch.
"Much the same as any other," Itachi admits, walking out the bathroom changed into more comfortable clothes.
"How about you Mio?" he questions, popping his head up from the couch to look over at me.
'A bit boring, but I'm sure it'll get better as we get higher ranked missions,' I sign in contemplation and Shisui simply rolls his eyes at my response, laying back down on the couch.
It's been just over a year since the Uchiha's admitted to me being family and everything's been going pretty well since. Itachi and I took the chunin exams together and Shisui got over his crush on me, I think. We've gotten closer and when we finish missions late like tonight we sleep at Shisui's because his parents are usually away on missions and we don't want to disturb Itachi's family. I still don't call them family, but I hold them close to my heart much like one.
'I'm going to get cleaned up, seeing you're both done with the bathroom,' I sign to Itachi, who nods and I head to the bathroom.
Danzo's been watching me more lately and keeps trying to get me to join the ROOT. I know he's just going to manipulate me, but I've been thinking about his request. I could use it to my advantage seeing I know he's going to try and manipulate me. I'll deceive him by playing along with it, while I'm actually making a name for myself.
I still want to prove I'm not a curse and I need to have a feared name among the enemies in order to protect those I love. If I join the ROOT I will become stronger and gain experience that I'm not getting currently. There's nothing wrong with Itachi and Shisui, but I want more room to grow and they're so strong that I feel like they're not giving me the space to get stronger. We're strong together, but we're also each others worse weakens, not allowing each other space to grow individually.
"Do you ever just wonder who Mio really is? I know we don't want to bug her and stir up past memories, but that doesn't stop my curiosity of getting the better of me," Shisui admits, his voice muffled by the door between the two rooms. I dry my soaking skin with a soft towel, quietly listening in on the Uchiha's conversation in the other room.
"Yeah, but I try not to think about it and just see her as Mio because if she isn't telling us it means she doesn't want us to know," Itachi responds.
"I know, but I just want to know at least her name," Shisui sighs quietly.
"Her real name?" Itachi asks.
"Yeah, the name she got at birth, not a number some Rogue's gave her," Shisui informs, some annoyance in his tone at the thought. "What do you think her name could be? A traditional name or something unique?" he questions, more energy in his voice.
"I don't know, it sounds like her family was some what traditional but she doesn't seem like the type of person to have a common name," Itachi adds his own curiosity growing in interest.
"Good point, this makes me want to know even more," Shisui almost whines.
I trust them a lot, I suppose I could tell them my name.
"Talking about it just makes us more curious," Itachi reminds.
"True, but I can't help it," Shisui chuckles and I open the bathroom door, now dressed in sweatpants and a shirt. Both Uchiha's turn their heads in my direction as I walk over to my bag and grabbing a hair brush. I brush my hair out gently, releasing all the tight knots while I watch the dead silent Uchiha's.
"Winter," I speak gently and both their heads shoot up slightly wide eyed.
Shisui turns to me and opens his mouth but no words exit, making me giggle catching the two boys before me even more by surprise.
