(Itachi POV)

Quietly entering my class at the academy I find my way through the crowd of fangirls and up the tawny, wood steps. Reaching the middle row of seats I sit on the smooth wooden bench beside the window, with a desk in front of me. I rest my forearms on the table and look towards the board, awaiting the arrival of my Sensei. Today is much like any other day, getting up and going to academy the sky's clear of clouds and the sun's bright rays are embellishing the Earth's crust. The weather is average and not to hot for the middle of Summer, there hasn't been a breeze today same as the previous days this week. My class is set up the same as usual clear desks, clean board and windows wide open to allow natural light to enter the room. The students are still making their way here for the day and it's rather quiet.

I was looking forward to joining the academy so I could finally start my way down the path of a Ninja. I want to become strong enough to take down all evil in the world and bring peace. People believe it is a foolish dream but I disagree and won't stop trying. I've been in the academy for three months and as far as I've noticed the kids here are just joking around. They don't actually want to be ninja's in order to protect something, instead they want to play games and pretend. I know the life of a ninja isn't to have fun and is a harsh reality that is going to be hard for most of these kids to understand.

The dark clouds roll over my head like a blanket suffocating the Earth, the air is still and crispy. My Father and I begin walking over a destroyed landscape the land grey and wounded with stains of crimson. My eyes travel along the rocky ground stopping at each cold corpse, coated in blood and dull eyes matching the clouds they were stuck watching above us. Their bodies still and their hearts lifeless as they lay helplessly over the battle field.

That was the first time I experienced what a ninja must go through and I couldn't bare the sight of so many lives lost over meaningless problems. I realized that the fighting was never going to stop unless someone stopped it and this is how I found my dream of becoming that someone. I will stop the fighting by being the strongest Shinobi in the world and no one will be able to stand against me. Once I rid the fighting the world can find a righteous peace and the pointless fighting will come to a end. No more innocent lives will be lost early. This is my dream and although I hate fighting, it's what I must do to accomplish my dream.

"Uhh, hey I...Itachi," a familiar voice fills my ears as I feel a light tap on my shoulder. I turn my head and lock eyes with a brown eyed girl, I recognize her, she is apart of the Uchiha clan.

"Hn," I grunt and she looks down shy, she has a crush on me like every other girl who don't understand I'm not interested.

"Can I s...sit here," she stutters quietly, looking at her fingers that she is playing with nervously. I simply nod and look back to the board, I notice a clock and read it. The teacher should be here in a few minutes.

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IZUMI!?" I hear a girl scream making me wince inwardly, why must girls speak so loudly all the time?

"I...I er I mean...um," Izumi stutters, afraid of the large swarm of girls huddling around my desk.

"Well, that's my Itachi," the girl says crossing her arms over her chest with sass.

"What?" a crowd of girls questions.

"You heard me," the girl says flipping her hair over her shoulder and puffing her chest out.

"No, he's mine," someone snaps angrily.

"NO!" another screams.

"He's mine, go away," someone else squeals.

"No way, back off!" someone says in a high pitched tone.
