The next day is Friday. He'd stayed at John's house for the next few hours, probably until 8pm, the two of them just hugging each other on John's bed and watching Netflix on his laptop. They didn't really speak about what John had seen, Paul didn't wish to, and though it was clearly hard for John to agree, he did.

They also didn't really speak about the kiss, though John kept kissing Paul's forehead as they lay. They hadn't decided what they were, though, they were too warned out for that.

Mike had a fun evening too, him and Julia watching animations in the living room, ones that Paul didn't have access too at their own house. Mostly Disney channel.

The next morning, Paul was excited to go to school. Very excited. He felt a lot better, understanding that John just wasn't going to question what he saw... More of all, Paul was happy they kissed. He could hardly sleep for thinking about how John's lips felt on his own...

"C'mon Mike..." Paul smiled in the doorway, urging the boy to put his dinosaur coat on.

Jim had been in the kitchen, reading the newspaper in silence. Paul tried not to make eye contact with him when he grabbed two cereal bars for Mike, which was easy as it seemed the man didn't want to do anything but ignore him.

Paul hadn't been bothered. He didn't want Jim to ruin his day, as he'd woke up in a very good mood.

Mike had happily ran into the classroom, excited to see his friends too. Paul was always happy when seeing how excited Mike was for school.

He was happy when Mike was.

Paul almost ran down the corridors in an attempt to reach the corridor his friends always waited on. But today, he was mainly excited to see John. He'd had a careful think whilst walking, and ultimately, Paul had decided that he wanted a relationship with John...

If John wanted that too.

Maybe John had only kissed Paul to calm him down, to reassure him... But the all together vibe that Paul had gotten from it all was that John liked him back, and if John didn't... That was okay. Paul would just... Move past it.

The corridor came into sight, and he turned the corner, smiling at the sight of the other three boys. They were all stood around, laughing about something. Paul could see John's smile, the way he tugged at the backpack on his shoulders as he laughed.

"Hi." Paul beamed.

"Feeling better, I see...?" George asked, smiling at Paul's newfound happiness.

"Yeah, I probably should've messaged you and Richie and told you I felt better."

"It's okay, Paul. We're just glad you're okay." Ringo added. "Aren't we, George."

"Of course."

Paul smiled at them once more, before turning to John. His cheeks grew a rose colour as he stared at John, his skin coloured yellow from the morning sun shining through the windows. His hair looked ginger, though Paul knew it to be an auburn brown colour-

"C'mon Geo, we better be going." Ringo suggested to the taller teenager next to him, and Paul was relieved.

The boy must have understood that Paul needed some time alone with John, and Paul was very much grateful for that.

"What?" George asked, furrowing his eyebrows as he suddenly glared down at Ringo. "But-"

"Come on..." The older laughed fondly, dragging George away.

John just laughed as he watched them leave.

"Are they always like this?"

"Like what?" Paul asked.

"So... Domestic? I mean... They're always together, acting like they live together." John explained, before chuckling. "Hi by the way."

"Hi..." Paul smirked. "And yes. They've been like that for years, I've gotten used to it."

They both laughed again, Paul looking John up and down from the side as they did, sliding his hands into his pockets.

"So..." Paul began.

"So..." John continued, biting his lip to stifle a smirk.

He must have really forgotten about the bruise then, which Paul was glad to hear.

"I was thinking... Well..." All of a sudden, the smile on Paul's face faded.

He hadn't actually thought of what to say, he'd just sort of told himself he was going to ask John without thinking of what he was actually going to ask him.

Shit.

"Well?" John repeated, sliding his own hands into the pockets on his blazer.

"I just..." In a quick second, he decided to just say whatever he thought about first. Even if it wouldn't make total sense. "Well... I've only known you for less than a week, and I already feel so close to you, John. I don't think I've ever hung out with someone outside of school as much as I have with you and it's literally been 5 fucking days... Mike adores you, I adore you... And I just... And..." Paul took a pause.

"And...?" John's eyes watched him closely, as if urging him to say something. It looked like John was... Cheering him on.

"And... I love that." Paul spoke, rather shyly now "So... So... Would you maybe, want to... Go out with me?"

Paul could feel his heart beating so fast. It took a few seconds for John to respond, and the longer it took, the more Paul could feel himself sweating.

"Yes." John smiled out.

Paul let out a sigh of relief, dragging the back of his hand across his forehead. He gave John a grin, and before he knew it, John's hands were around his waist, hugging him tightly.

The bell called out, but John and Paul didn't stop hugging.

Now, Paul had to convince him self that John definitely did not remember.
