Here is an original character - Puffin!

AHHHHH

Love him to pieces.

I did also do a first concept digital sketch which I will put in as well.

I found a mood board (Which is soooo fun) and thought it would fit an icewing best. The first time I drew him (Digital sketch) I wasn't really thinking about the character- just design. But this sketch on paper is more what I imagine Puffin to appear like.

Puffin is a male. About 5 in Dragon years (So hes about a teen/tween in our sense) and he is a hybrid! Because of his mother being a Skywing and Father being an Icewing - he has traits of both. You can really see his Skywing heritage in the red scales lining the underbelly. But, for the most part, Puffin is a normal Icewing. At least, if his wild, goofy, kind spirit doesn't count. He is basically the opposite of an Icewing in his personality. Which makes sense because he was raised in a cave in a forest. Far away from any Icewing or Queen Scarlet (Now Queen Ruby)'s palace.

Though, Puffin has the build and shape of a normal Icewing. His colors and powers differ the most. He, as I mentioned earlier, has deep red scales and instead of having the normal white or light blue scales typical of an icewing. He has gray. His powers are most shocking. Icewings typical - again - have an icy breath. Shot from their mouths like fire but instead it freezes you limbs. Skywings on the other hand, have normal fire.

Puffin has neither. Because his parents are polar opposites when it comes down to tribes, powers, and customs. Puffin is completely neutralized.

Though it doesn't bother this big sweetheart at all! Frankly he just wants to make friends and eat all of the spicy food he can handle.

I just love the composition!

I don't know what it is - maybe the wing tilted down?

Either way its a win in my eyes.

(Isn't Puffin so awesome though???)
