Chapter 1

Clark was looking at the view in front of him. This place brings a lot of memories the happy ones and the heartbreaking ones. This is the place where Nina, his ex-girlfriend, agreed to be his girlfriend and also the place where she broke up with him.

Nina was his first love. First in everything even his first heartbreak. Nina hit a home run in his life. That's why this breakup hurts him a lot.

He flinched when something cold hit his face and when he looked on his side, he was greeted by an unfamiliar face.

"Take it." He looked at the lady and at the cold drink, she is offering him.

He doesn't know what to do. He doesn't know the girl. Who knows, she might be one of his admirers. Not to brag but Clark is one of the most handsome guys in their university so hence, he got a lot of admirers.

"Are you one of my admirers?" He asked still not accepting the drink.

The girl furrowed her forehead. "Why? Are you some kind of celebrity or something?"

"No. I---"

"Then, I'm not one of your ADMIRERS." The girl even made an emphasis on the word admirers.

"Take this. I'm not planning to hurt you or something. I just thought you needed it." The girl explains still offering him the drink.

"Thanks." He said before accepting the drink.

"You're welcome."

He watches as the girl sits beside him.

"What?" She asked noticing at Clark is watching her.

"What are you doing?"

"Sitting." The girl response flatly.

"I know. But why here beside me?"

The girl knotted her forehead. "Why? Is it bad to sit here?"

He quickly shook his head. He doesn't want to offend the lady. "No. I-I'm just curious. After all, you're still a stranger."

"Then, I'm Ashley." The girl said extending her right hand for a handshake.

"Huh?"

The girl named Ashley rolled her eyes. "I'm introducing myself, so I won't be a stranger anymore."

"Ah yes." He accepted the girl's hand and shake it. "I'm Clark."

Ashley nods her head and takes back her hand before looking at the view in front of them. They stayed quiet, just watching the sunset and enjoying the breeze.

"What's the matter?" Ashley asked breaking the silence.

"Huh?"

Ashley looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. "Is that all your answer to every question I'm going to ask you?"

"No. I-I'm just taken aback, that's all." He explains.

"Why?"

"Well, for a starter we're complete strangers."

"No, we're not. We know each other's name."

"Yeah, but still strangers. Then you asked such a sudden question."

"Well, you look like someone with a huge problem. Actually, you looked like someone who just got dumped by his girlfriend."

Clark choked on his drink and Ashley was quick to rub his back.

"H-how did you k-know that?"

"I was right then."

"You're a stalker, aren't you?" He accusingly said.
