It's You (On-hold)

Chapter 2

Ashley groans and lazily rolled to the bed and reached her phone at the bedside table because of its continuous ringing.

"Urgh! Who's calling me at this hour?" 

She blinked her sleepiness away and when she adjusted her vision, she was greeted by an unknown caller.

"The heck is this?"

Although she wanted to reject the call, the caller was so persistent to get to talk to her. She also noticed that the unknown caller has been calling her for the 7th time, so she decided to answer the call.

"Hello? Who's this?" She asked going back in laying.

"Good morning babe!"

She pulls her phone away from her ears and looked at the caller's id, thinking who was on the other line calling her 'babe'. As far as she can remember she's not dating anyone.

"I'm sorry but I think you got the wrong number." She answers and was about to hang up when the person on the other line called her name.

"Ashley baby, don't tell me you forgot." The guy sounded disappointed.

Now her sleepiness was erased and all her system is awake. She's getting irritated. She stayed late last night to finished some of her school requirements and now, some unknown person has been blowing up her phone, and now the caller is calling her ridiculous pet names. Now, who wouldn't get irritated by that?

"Seriously dude, stop this nonsense. I'm not in the mood to play with ya. Now pissed off before I punched you in your face. For Pete's sake, I don't know you!"

She heard him chuckles that made her blood boils.

"You know what? Screw you! I'm blocking you a---"

"Hey, I'm sorry! Ash, this is me, Clark."

"Clark? I don't know anyone with that name."

She heard him chuckles again as if being amused by her. 

"You really are indeed something, Ashley."

"Excuse me?" She didn't like how the guy talks to her so casually as if they are some close friends.

"I'm the one you met at the park yesterday. The one you gave a drink and accompanied."

Now that finally clicks to her who she is talking to. "Oh, the one who got dumped by his ex-girlfriend? The one who's still stupidly in love with his ex?" She teased.

"Damn you, Ashley!"

Now it was her time to laugh at him. "So, why did you call so early?" She asked yawning.

"Don't tell me you totally forgot?"

"Forgot what?" She tried to rake her brain if she forgot something important.

I wonder what he was talking about?

She heard him sigh and she bet Clark is disappointedd about something that she forgot. It's not her fault though. She had a lot on her plate that she tends to be forgetful.

"Today's the day we are going to start our pretend relationship, remember?"

"Shoot! That was today?" Her eyes widen, surprised by the news.

Oh yeah, I was forced to be his pretend girlfriend to get back his ex. Tss.

"Yes, it's today. So you better get yourself prepared because I'm going to pick you up."

"Why do you have to pick me up?" She asked confused.

"Because we are going to have breakfast together and I am going to walk you to your class. Remember, I'm your boyfriend and I am doing my boyfriend duty. I'm going to hang-up so get prepared. Bye!"
