Chapter 8

"So interns, do you have any questions before I end this orientation?" Ms. Santos asked.

Today is the first day of Ashley's internship and she is one of the lucky interns who were accepted by Klee Architecture and Engineering Firm, one of the famous firms in the country. And it's her dream to be their intern and now it's her first day working with them and she is so static to be here.

"None? Good. Very well, let's proceed to the other conference room where you'll be introduced to the engineering interns. Please follow me, interns."

All the interns stand up and proceeds to follow Ms. Santos.

Someone tapped Ashley's arm and when she looked at her side, a smiling girl greeted her. "Hi! My name is Alyxndra, but you can call me Alyx."

Ashley smile back at the girl named Alyxndra and introduced herself as well. "Hi, Alyx! I'm Ashley. It's nice meeting you."

"Same here. Isn't it great that we were accepted here to be an intern? I'm so excited to learn more." 

Ashley can't help but smile widely seeing how enthusiastic Alyx is. And her happy vibe is so contagious. 

"Bebu, calm down." The man beside Alyx who looks like a cute cat said.

He's probably her boyfriend. She thought.

"I'm sorry bebu. I'm just too happy to be here." Alyxndra said. "By the way bebu, this is Ashley. She is also an intern like us. And Ashley this is Knight, my boyfriend."

"Nice to meet you, Knight." Ashley said and smile, trying to be friendly.

"Likewise." The guy answered.

Her eyebrow raised when she heard his response. Alyx leans closer to her and whispers, "Sorry about that. Knight is an introvert and meeting new people is not his thing, but he's a nice guy. You guys can be friends but you're not allowed to have a crush on my lil meow meow, got that?" She squinted her eyes at me in a threatening way but she looks cute.

"Lil meow meow?" She asked confused.

"He does look like a cute little cat, isn't he?" Alyx said while looking at her boyfriend.

"Well, yes he is." Ashley agreed because, well he does look like a cat. A bored looking one at that.

 "We're friends now so my man is off-limits, alright?" Alyx declared.

"We're friends?" Her eyebrow raised. 

Alyx rolled her eyes. "Duh! Of course, we are. And you don't have a choice, Missy." And Alyx hooked her arm with Ashley giving her no option but to agree.

"Get inside interns." Ms. Santos said and they all followed her.

Ashley and the other Architecture interns went inside the conference room. And she stood beside Alyx who is still making small conversation with her about how excited she is to learn and to work.

"Guys, meet the Engineering interns."

She looked forward and her eyes widen when she saw this one particular Engineering intern.

You've got to be freaking kidding me!

"Do you have any idea who are the architecture interns?" One of Clark's co-engineering interns asked.

He shook his head and fixed his necktie when the door open. He hoped that he'll get along with all the interns and seniors that he'll be working with for 3 months.

"Architecture interns are here!" One of his co-interns said, trying to suppress the excitement. He can't help but shook his head, he's wondering if his co-interns are here for the internship or just to hook up with the other interns.
