Joker was sat in the dressing room, watching the local news on the small tv, chuckling to himself to what his actions had lead to, or what their actions had lead to.

Murray Franklin and his producer Gene opened the door. Joker got up to shake his lifelong hero's hand, "Murray."

Gene got pretty aggravated, "It's Mr Franklin, buddy.

Murray quickly stepped in, thinking he was the good guy, "Oh come on, Gene. That's all bullshit."

Joker said nervously with happiness, "Thank you Murray. I feel like I know you, I've been watching you forever."

Murray kept nodding not properly listening, he's heard it all before and it gets exhausting after a while, "Thank you, what's with the face? I mean, are you part of the protests?"

Joker shook his head and laughed, "No, I don't believe in any of that. I don't believe in anything. I just thought it would be good for my act."

Gene got upset, "For your act? Didn't you hear what happened on the subway? Some clown got killed."

Murray looked down and mumbled, "He's aware of that, he's aware of that yeah."

Joker pretended to be clueless, "No I haven't heard."

Gene turned to face Murray, feeling irritated and fed up talking to this clown, "The audience is gonna go crazy if you put him on. It was okay maybe for a bit, but not a whole segment."

Joker smiled widely and repeatedly blinked his eyes, trying to act innocent.

Murray nodded his head and replied confidently, "Gene it's gonna work, it's gonna work. We're gonna go with it."

Joker laughed, "Thank you Murray."

He flashed a fake smile and told him what he usually went through with all his guests, the same boring routine, "Couple rules though. No cursing, no off-color material, we do a clean show, okay? You'll go on after Dr Sally."

He nodded understandably and added, "I love Dr Sally."

"Good. Someone will come and get you. Okay good luck."

"Thanks Murray."

Murray and Gene turned to leave, exchanging smirks with each other as they walk out the door.

Joker quickly interrupted before they left, "Hey Murray, one small thing?"

"Yeah."

"When you bring me out, can you introduce me as "Joker?"

Murray smiled, trying to not burst out laughing. This guy really was a joke!

Gene stared, "What's wrong with your real name?

He pointed at Murray, "That's what you called me on the show, a joker. Do you remember?"

"Did I?" he asked Gene.

He replied, "I don't know."

"Well, if you say so, kid. Joker it is. It's good."

He smiled, feeling chuffed, "Thanks Murray.

They finally left the room and he sat right back down with his legs crossed on the dressing table and pointed the gun under his chin, having thoughts.

He wanted to do it. That was his new plan, to do it in front of everyone on live television. After y/n left his life, he wanted to end it. He really had nothing else left to lose. No purpose. Nothing.

He wiped his head and sighed, placing the gun back in his pocket.

Suddenly the door slammed opened and soft lips were smashed against his. Arms wrapped around him and a body sat down on his lap. It was a girl, a girl with a clown face wearing a red dress and a black leather jacket. He was surprised at first and didn't know how to react, until he realised it was her. He kissed her back and his hands slowly ran down to her delicate waist. She moaned and played with his green curls. They broke the kiss and looked into each other's orbs, panting.
