(Corpse's POV)
"Oh my god Sykkuno these blueberry muffins are to die for." I tell him with my mouth full. He giggles then turns to Lex.
"And what do you think of it?" She just holds up a thumb and has crumbs all over her face. I laugh a little and wipe them away.
I can't stop thinking about what Sykkuno told Rae though..they love each other. I mean I'm not mad just kind of..how do I say it? Jealous? Yeah I think that's the proper word.
I feel arms wrap around me. "Now that Lexi went to go watch tv you can tell me what's wrong.." he whispers softly.
"N-nothing.." I stutter out. He peels open my clenched fists slowly.
"That's not nothing Corpse..now tell me what's wrong..please?" He gives me puppy eyes.
"Can we just cuddle again..? I'm really tired. Last night was the first night I've slept good in a long time."
"Of course. My room or yours?"
"Your room. Your bed is softer it's like a cloud." I tell him. He giggles and takes me to his room where we get under the covers.
"Come here." He says opening his arms.
I burry my face in his neck. "Cuddles are nice.." I mumble. His hand goes to my head and he starts to play with my curls.
That makes me very sleepy so I breathe slowly and close my eyes. "Sleepy boy." I hear Sykkuno say. I laugh a little with my eyes still closed.
"So..what's been on your mind lately?" he asks.
"Mostly stress.." I cuddle closer.
"why's that?" He continues to play with my hair.
"Just people..I'm scared that they will find out what I look like..that they'll find out about Lexi. It's just scary. What will people think if they find out I'm a dad?"
I suddenly feel a familiar feeling. It's the feeling like someone is sitting on your chest to restrict your breathing.
"Hey hey calm down. It's alright. Ignore them for now. It's just you and me right now. Lexi is taking a nap, she had another long night. Just focus on my voice." He tells me.
It helps a little bit. "A-alright.." I say.
He places a soft, caring kiss on my temple. "I-is it okay that I did that?" He asks going all shy. It's so cute.
"Yeah..that really helped. Thank you Syk."
Not long after we fall asleep and I have a nice dream for the first time in years.
