'Thanks for the ride Chloe,' Flynn said as she grabbed her stuff, as her feet met the sidewalk. 'Are you sure you don't want to sleepover?' Julie said softly as she raised her eyebrows, before she could step out of car. Chloe nodded as she laughed softly, 'yeah I'm sure, next time for sure though.'
The girls nodded as they waved goodbye to Chloe and Leo, as the pair waited for them to go inside the house, before driving off. 'Do you have anything better to do than following me around?' Chloe chuckled as she glanced at the boy, but kept her main focus on the road.
Leo shaked his head as he shrugged his shoulders, 'honestly, not really. Can't believe that you're trying to get rid of me.' Chloe gasped dramatically as she placed one of her hands over her heart, 'Me? trying to get rid of you? Never!' Leo pushed the girls shoulders causing both them to burst into laugher.
'Do people ever get suspicious of a 'seventeen year old', living by herself?' Leo said as he motioned his hands in quotes. 'Also, how you're able to fed yourself and have the use of this car?'
'Well Curious George, when people usually asked me about living by myself, i just say that my mom is always out of town for work, so I stay by myself. And about the food and car, I had met this wonderful lady when I came back to Los Angles a few years ago, I became close to her and she ended up leaving me some money in her savings account,' Chloe said as she bit her lip, with a smile forming.
'So she knew who you actually were?'
Chloe nodded as she smiled weakly, as she talked about a close mother figure, 'Yep, once I had gotten close to her, i had finally told her. But she was one of those women who believed in the supernatural and had semi practiced witchcraft, so she told me she knew who I was when she first saw me.' Leo nodded as he grabbed the girls hand, and gave it a small squeeze for comfort, 'she must have been lovely.'
'Yeah, Amelia was,' Chloe said softly as she felt her voice about to give up on her, while her eyes became even more watery. Leo squeezed the girls hand softly, causing the girl to smile.
The pair had finally reached Chloe's house, as they stumbled into the place. Chloe turned on the lights, as she walked to the kitchen to create a snack for herself, 'make yourself at home.' Leo chuckled as he sat down on a bar stool, and placed his arms on the counter, with his chin on his hands, 'you can eat?'
Chloe nodded as she laughed, while pouring water into a ramen soup, 'yep. perks of being able to be human and a ghost.' Leo sighed sadly as he pouted, 'ugh i miss food.' Chloe placed the ramen into the microwave, and walked over to Leo, to stand in front of him, 'I don't have to eat right now. I feel bad.'
Leo raised his head up, shaking his head, 'no! eat! don't worry about me.' Chloe's lips turned into a frown as she looked at Leo, 'no Leo, i fee-'
'Chloe, don't worry about it. Now eat,' Leo said with a smile as he rolled his eyes at her. Chloe chuckled with smiled towards the boy, 'Well Mr. DiCaprio, I would but it's not ready eat.' Leo flicked off the girl as they both chuckled at each other.
