Trigger Warning! - Mentions of eating disorder/problems (Not really though)

Tommy's POV:

My eyes slowly opened and it took me a minute for my eyes to adjust to the light coming from the window.

Somethings missing, I thought.

My eyes snapped open in realization that Y/n wasn't with me. I frantically glanced around the room for any sign of her.

The room was completely unfamiliar.

Wait... oh, that's right. We got adopted yesterday and were given separate rooms.

I dragged myself out of bed and rubbed my eyes, then walked out of my room and into Y/n's. Her bed was already empty and perfectly made, almost like she never slept in it...

My worry grew.

Faint voices led me downstairs and, sure enough, there sat Y/n talking with Techno while laying out on one of the couches. She seemed less tense than yesterday which was relieving.

My shoulders relaxed now that I knew that she was okay. I made my way over to her and sat down on the couch.

"Good morning, Tommy," Y/n greeted me, smiling softly.

I smiled back. " 'Morning. Any plans for today?"

Techno nodded. "We'll all be heading to the store together to get stuff for you two."

I hummed, internally surprised although I'd never show it. I leaned back and sighed, closing my eyes and listening to Techno and Y/n talk. I let my thoughts consume me.

Y/n seems much more relaxed around Techno than she was before and by the looks of it, neither of them slept much.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by Phil walking down the stairs and into the kitchen. He sent a warm smile towards us, probably internally fangirling about us getting along...

I watched silently as he gathered ingredients and started making breakfast, internally cringing at the thought of food. It wasn't that his cooking was bad, I just couldn't stomach large amounts of food.

I wasn't used to eating three full meals a day so I'm assuming that that is the reason why it'll take some time before I'm able to get back to healthy eating habits. Now that Y/n and I are in a seemingly stable home, the process should speed up.

I felt a soft poke to my side from Y/n. "Tommy, come on, breakfast is done."

Time Skip (brought to you by the first time skip in this story!)

Breakfast was okay, I was able to stomach it this time. I was slowly getting better. Now, Y/n and I were sitting next to each other in the backseat of Phil's car. I leaned against the window, watching the trees and other cars pass by.

It wasn't long before the car came to a stop in the parking lot of a grocery store. I stepped out of the car, Y/n close to my side.

"Come on kids," Phil calls, standing beside Techno and Wilbur.

I take Y/n's hand to reassure her silently. I was completely aware of her small case of social anxiety. She got uncomfortable when around too many strangers at once and my presence helped her calm down.

"Why are we here?" I asked, walking next to Techno and Wilbur.

Phil smiled down at me. "We're here to get ingredients for the upcoming dinner that we will be sharing with some family friends of ours. After that, we'll head to get both you and Y/n some clothes."
