✰CHAPTER THIRTEEN✰

You woke up to the sound of Hotch's phone going off.

"Hotchner." You heard an even deeper than usual, if that was possible, voice answer the phone in a sleepy almost lazy tone.

He sighed "Alright. I'll get my team ready and we'll be there soon. Okay. Bye now."

You heard him throw his covers off and start to get ready.

Was he not going to wake you up?

You decided that you could try and get more sleep while he gets ready.

It was difficult, but you began to doze off.

"Y/N." You heard whispered softly whispered in your ear.

You felt a big hand lightly resting on your shoulder as the voice tried again "Y/N come on."

Your eyes slowly fluttered open and you saw Hotch looking down at you with soft eyes that looked a bit sad.

He wasn't trying to hide his emotions at the moment and you could read his expression.

Before the words even came out of his mouth, you knew what happened by the way he was looking at you.

He was being delicate probably because you just woke up and he seemed off put.

"They found another body."

You sighed and shut your eyes tightly.

You already had a headache and the day hadn't started.

You opened your eyes once more to see him looking down with a defeated look.

"Can you please get ready while I call the others?"

You sadly nodded and began to get up.

Slowly moving around, you started to get ready for the day.

You put on black slacks, a white shirt and a black suit jacket paired with black heels.

You did very light makeup knowing you might mess it up.

After you were done, you walked out of the bathroom and began talking to Hotch as you put your hair into a ponytail.

"Are you okay?" You asked cautiously, not wanting him to push you away.

He sighed "I suppose. I just- I feel useless. We're supposed to be helping and another women just died."

You walked over to him and replied "Yeah...I know. Remember we just got here and we're gonna figure it out, okay?"

He looked down at you "Okay."

You grabbed his hand and led him to the elevator.

Everyone was already waiting in the lobby and Hotch told everyone what he needed them to do.

"L/N, Morgan, and Prentiss, you're gonna come with me to the crime scene and see if we can figure anything out. Reid, see if you can get any closer to getting a geographically profile with the new sight. JJ talk to the police officers about the victims and their families to know a little more about them. Garcia, check the victim's history to see if there's any inconsistencies. Rossi stay behind with the information and see if you can come to any conclusions."

You all went to the SUV's and Emily was gonna offer to drive with you, but Morgan quickly said "L/N, you're with me."

You were slightly shocked, but nonetheless followed him to the SUV.

"So, you feeling okay?" Morgan asked.

You were even more confused.

Why was he asking all of a sudden?
