Hi all! Just a quick author note before I start, but I wrote this story 4 years ago (When I was literally 14) and I'm so grateful for all the love and support y'all have given me! I saw some people saying they were robbed for what happened before the epilogue and I thought since I haven't written for this story or even for Hotch in a while, I'd give you guys some extra content. If this is well received, I'll definitely work on doing more! Anyways thank you all so much and I hope you enjoy!

It had been a couple weeks since you went back home from Hotch's place and thankfully the only thing you heard from your father were a couple nasty voicemails telling you he was going back home.

Honestly, you were too overwhelmed with everything going on with Hotch to even give him a second thought, so you just prayed that you wouldn't hear from him again.

Being together was so comfortable that you two didn't bring up going on a date when you were still staying at his place. It wasn't until you were up late on the phone talking with him that he finally brought it up.

"So, I've been thinking and I want to take you out on a date. A real one. No more undercover work or lunch brakes."

You couldn't help the large grin that filled your face as you quickly agreed, "I'd really love that. How nice of a date are we talking, though? Something fancy?"

He chuckled and you could hear his smile through the phone, "Nothing but the best for you, Y/N. How about tomorrow night after work? We can both take off early and go home, get ready, and then I'll pick you up. I've already got a place in mind, something Rossi keeps recommending.

"Sounds perfect. I'm already planning out my outfit!"

You felt like a teenage girl going on a date with her crush, giggling and picturing how nice it'd be to finally spend a nice night out with Hotch.

Like the two of you had planned, you had taken off early and getting ready for your date. Even though you and Hotch were already comfortable with each other, you were still so nervous for what this date could entail.

After your call last night, you freaked out and instantly started digging through your closet to find something for tonight. You had landed on a short black dress, a black leather jacket for the cool weather and black heels.

Hopefully it was suitable for the date, but you couldn't spend more hours in that closet than you already had, so this had to do. You were finishing up the final touches of your makeup before getting the text from Hotch that he was outside.

You wanted to scream, but you tried to calm your shaking hands as you texted that you'd be out in a moment as you gave yourself one last look in the mirror before grabbing your bag and stepping out the front door.

Hotch was already standing outside of his car, leaned against the hood, bouquet of flowers in hand. You couldn't help the red that instantly spread to your cheeks as you took careful steps to meet him.

He wore a white long sleeve button down with his typical suit jacket and black slacks. Although it wasn't totally new to you, it was nice seeing him without a tie in more casual clothing.

You approached him, quick to wrap your arms around his neck with a kiss on the cheek, "Thank you, Aaron. I didn't take you as such a romantic."

You pulled back, arms still wrapped around his neck, taking in his handsome smile and oaky cologne that you filled your senses. His smile remained as he replied, "I didn't either. I just want to show you how much I care. I want tonight to be special."

As if your face couldn't get any more red, he found ways to prove you wrong. You giggled, feeling like a teenager once more, "Well, you're definitely on the right track. Let's get going, I'm starving."
