Gene walked out of the bedroom, joining me in the kitchen area of the penthouse, giving me a kiss.
"Well love, we've got one last show tonight, and then the tour's over. Are you...are you wanting to come back with me to my house?" he asked nervously, before shaking his head. "Actually...well, Y/N, I love you. I love you with my whole heart, I want to stay with you forever, and be your boyfriend. Do you feel the same? B-because I mean if you do, then do you want...to just move in to my house? And live with me, and-and raise our kids together," he babbled.
Smiling, I picked up his hand, lacing my fingers through his and giving it a squeeze. "I would love that. I love you! And I want to be your girlfriend, because I don't ever want to be apart from you either," I said softly.
He kissed me, running his hands through my hair, brushing it away from my face, before taking a step back with a gasp. "What? What's wrong?" I asked.
He looked at me, eyes wide. "Y/N we don't have anything for the babies!" he cried.
I blinked, staring back at him in surprise. "Oh...oh dear," I murmured.
"We-we don't have anything at all! No clothes or diapers or cribs or carseats or high chairs or toys or books or anything!" he said, before grabbing his phone. "Don't you worry about it though. I'll take care of it all, you can't be stressed alright?" he said, giving me a smile and a gentle kiss.
My heart melted, instantly soothed by him. "I won't stress, don't worry. I trust you. I trust you with my life! But that reminds me love, we don't have names for our babies. Do we want to think of some ideas?" I asked, resting my hands on my very swollen baby bump.
He frowned, walking over and placing his hands on top of mine. "I'm not sure. Do we want to wait until they're born? To see how the names would match them, you know?"
I pulled my hands from beneath Gene's so I could rest them on his hands. "I like that idea," I murmured.
He smiled, giving my hands a squeeze. "One month now, right?" he asked eagerly, and I nodded. "One more month," I said.
I was very grateful I only had a month left of being pregnant! My stomach was massive, with the babies always twisting around and making my back ache even more. My feet were swollen, legs aching, and I couldn't even bend over to put on my shoes. But thankfully Gene was absolutely wonderful. He did everything he could to make me comfortable, giving me back rubs and foot massages and finding whatever food I was craving for me. Despite how much of a dear he had been, I was still ready to have the babies.
"Can I get anything for you?" he asked, smoothing my hair back, giving me a worried look and kissing me on the forehead.
"Oh no no, I'm fine for now. I'm going to stay in tonight though, I don't think I'm up to the show," I said, shifting with a wince and wrapping my arms around my stomach, supporting it.
He nodded, giving me a smile and pulling me to my feet, helping me waddle to the couch. I sank into the cushions with a sigh, propping my feet up. Gene sat next to me, massaging my feet. "I'll be leaving soon for tonight. Is there anything you need before I leave?" he asked, but I just shook my head, closing my eyes.
"I'll be fine, don't you worry. You have other things to focus on! You need to make sure the tour ends on a high note," I said.
"I'll miss seeing you in the front row. It's much easier to play well when I'm trying to impress you."
My heart melted and I opened my eyes, blowing him a kiss. "I always love seeing you on stage! But you need to get going! It wouldn't be good for you to be late."
Laughing, he rose to his feet, giving me a lingering kiss. "I'll see you tonight. You should sleep early! You should rest while you can. Once the babies arrive we won't get too much sleep for awhile."
"I will, don't you worry. Now go on! Don't be late!" I said, waving him toward the door.
"Bye Y/N! I'll see you in a few hours." "Bye Gene! Good luck tonight!" "I love you!" "Love you too!"
The door closed behind him and I let out a sigh. I missed him already!
