I looked at my reflection in the mirror, smiling. I smoothed down the front of my dress, adjusting it slightly. It was an A-line wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline, accentuating my waist and hugging the tops of my hips before flaring into a wider skirt. And of course, the bodice hugged me tightly, accentuating my curves and lifting my breasts.
Harley continued to run a brush through my hair before grabbing a curling iron. "Well, Y/N, today's the day!" she said, starting to curl my hair.
I nodded, heart fluttering, so excited my hands were shaking. "I know! Oh Harley I'm so excited! Oh I love him so much, he's just the sweetest man, he's such a dear with the kids and he loves me so much. I've never been happier with a man," I said with a happy sigh. "You know, he never asked me if I was lying. I showed up backstage and he asked if I was pregnant, and when I said yes he asked if he was the father. And when I said yes to that, he never asked if I was sure, he never asked if I had slept with someone else or if there was a chance he wasn't the father. He just accepted it."
"Well, it seems like he wanted to be with you whether he was the father or not," Harley mused, and I nodded. "Oh Harley I'm so in love with him!" I cried. It had been 18 months since our babies had been born, almost two and a half years since Gene and I first met, and every day I fell more and more in love with him.
Smiling, she nodded, curling more of my hair. "I'm so happy it all worked out girl! You four make a beautiful family," she said, stepping back.
I turned around, giving her a tight hug. "It's all thanks to you. If you hadn't come up with the idea to find Gene and helped me to track him down, this never would've been happening."
She hugged me back. "Oh girl I had to help you! Now come on, you need to get your bouquet, you'll be walking down the aisle soon!" she said.
Nodding, I let her put the veil on my head, affixing the circlet around my head and making sure the veil itself was arranged well. Before I could walk out of the bridal suite, the door opened and my future mother in law walked in, giving me a smile and holding her grandchildren by the hands.
"They wanted to say hello to their mother before the ceremony started," Flora said with a smile, giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
I scooped up Evie and Jackson, planting a kiss on their foreheads. "Alright you two you better behave during the wedding!" I said.
"Dada?" Evie asked, giving me a confused look.
I smiled, shifting her in my arm to hold her better. "You really are a daddy's girl, aren't you?" I said. "Your dad is up at the altar, you'll see him soon! Now you be good for your grandmother and your uncle Ace and uncle Peter, I better not hear any crying out of you!" I said, setting them down.
Flora led them out of the room with a wave, leaving just me and Harley. "Well, as your maid of honor I need to get going. Good luck!" she said, kissing me on the cheek and walking out of the room.
My dad was waiting for me, taking my arm and giving me a hug. "Oh, Y/N! Look at you, my baby girl all grown up," he said, misty-eyed.
I smiled, hugging him back. "Thanks Dad. I love you!"
The music started and we walked down the aisle to the altar where Gene was waiting for me. He looked gorgeous, in a black suit and tie, hair flowing nicely over his shoulders. Paul was his best man, like how Harley was my maid of honor. It was a small wedding, since Gene still had to keep his secret identity up. It was only the four members of Kiss, Gene's mom, my parents, Harley, and our kids. But that was all we needed for a perfect wedding.
The ceremony went perfectly, with Evie and Jackson serving as the ring-bearers, delivering the rings to us. I looked at Gene with a smile, holding his hands. The officiant cleared his throat.
"Do you, Gene Simmons, take Y/N to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?" he asked.
Smiling, eyes filled with love, Gene lifted the ring off the pillow, slipping it onto my finger. "I do," he murmured, and my heart melted.
"Do you, Y/N, take Gene Simmons to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?"
I picked up the other ring, putting it on Gene's finger, giving his hands a squeeze. "I do."
"Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
There was an ever so brief pause as Gene and I looked at each other, getting lost in each other's eyes, before he leaned forward and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders as his encircled my waist as we finally kissed as a married couple.
It was everything I dreamed of and more!
***Should I do another flash forward?? Let me know! I hope you liked this one, I love you all!***
